Food and service were excellent. I would recommend this to anyone looking for good Italian food at reasonable prices.

If you want Italian cuisine in Leesburg, this is the place. While the decor is not fancy, the menu features a lot of variety at reasonable prices. Portions are generous. Food tastes good. Outdoor dining and takeout are available. Service was friendly.

Food and service were both FANTASTIC. Veal Saltinbucca was tender and flavorful. Loved the fact that the entree came with a side salad (also tasty). Three of us shared two desserts and the evening was perfect. Will definitely come back. John the Food Lover

Had nine people all ages here for family Christmas dinner. This was a wonderful experience all around. We were nicely seated and the service was terrific. We also enjoyed a visit from the owner for an extended conversation. We started out with cocktails, including a...burnt-orange manhattan that I have never heard of previously and enjoyed greatly. The meatball appetizer was excellent and very large. We had a number of veal dishes that were all well received. My Veal Piccata was excellent, particularly with the very good accompanying pasta. All for very fair prices. Hope they will be able to stay open, please patronize this establishment!More

We did order out due to the pandemic. Starter, IL CAPPERO MEATBALLS, four homemade meatballs in tomato sauce, topped with melted mozzarella & ricotta, touch of basil. Tender, tasty and perfect. Entrees, SPAGHETTI & CLAMS, fresh clams in white wine sauce with a touch of...lemon. Fresh, tender clams. SHRIMP & CRAB, Jumbo shrimp with lump crab meat, tomato cream sauce, over angel hair pasta. This was my favorite! RIGATONI ALLA CARNE, sauteed sausage, meatball, pancetta, & ricotta in a tomato cream sauce, with mozzarella, baked in the oven p crab meat, tomato cream sauce, over angel hair pasta. Nice bread.More

A must eat! Cannot go wrong. We always get a to go order: the gnocchi, spaghetti n meatballs, and fettuccine Alfredo (which comes with broccoli). Both of the steak dishes were fabulous the two times we had it earlier this year. I might have written...a review on this before, but I wanted to make sure folks knew what a fabulous find this is. Tony will take good care of you. It’s in the sauce as he says. (Oh and the table bread is unmatched... super generous)More

This is COVID-19 related. They are continuing to operate thanks to the owner and employees. Fettuccini and Ravioli and meatballs were delicious. Enjoy your meal and support a local business.

We went in on a very busy Friday night. We had to wait in a line a bit, and it was clear they weren't used to being this busy yet. The hostess was a bit nervous but very very friendly! It took a bit for...our server to come to our table but he was very apologetic and very attentive the rest of the meal. We got Caprese for an appetizer, and it was delicious. Large portions of fresh mozzarella and tomatoes that were beautifully red. They brought us delicious, warm bread, and our salads right away. The caesar was very good. We had to wait awhile for our food as the kitchen was very busy, but our server came over and offered us more bread, drinks, and apologized for the wait. We ordered angel hair pasta and the ribeye, and both were delicious- no complaints here! Overall we enjoyed our dinner, and the service- especially the attentiveness and honesty! We will be back!More

Two of us went for a quick lunch and were pleasantly surprised at the food and the service. This location used to be the restaurant called “Not Your Average Joe” so we were unsure of how above average and decent it would be. This was...more curiosity than anything else. Glad we went. The low down is below: Food quality- 8 out of 10... authentic looking and tasty gnocchi and ravioli. The fresh baked bread with olive oil is fantastic! Needs a bit more pepper and a bit of salt to flavor the oil. I would come here just for that! I would add or request a couple more leaves of basil to be added to both entree dishes. Presentation was superb with parsley sprinkles. Service: not too slow but definitely Italian style. No rush. Nobody taking my plate prematurely. No hovering. Really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Location: can’t beat the location. It’s centrally located close to lansdowne hospital (in case of over indulging on the table breads). It’s close to CVS, and Harris Teeter grocery store for picking up dessert on the way home. The chef himself came out and delivered fresh baked bread from the oven! He lingered in case we had questions on our entrees (we had received our lunch and were enjoying it thoroughly). Vino list was decent. The Montepulciano red was perfect for the day. With a little bit more ambiance and some live music (nice mix of music played in the background) this place could be my next favorite hotspot in Leesburg.More

Wife and I hit this place hoping the early reviews were wrong. Seems as though the owners did a reset. We were very pleasantly surprised. I had the veal parmigiana and my wife had some eggplant dish that was kind of like mine but the...eggplant had some kind of eggy coating. I loved mine. The sauce was wonderful, not too acidic, not too sweet. Portion was huge so was able to enjoy two meals and literally was thinking about the sauce the next day and whether I wanted to go back immediately. Wife loved her eggplant and had a second day’s meal as well. Side salads were small but fresh and adequate. Had a choice of about a dozen Italian deserts. Not on their website but we shared two and they were really good too.More

Il Cappero in the Lansdowne Town Center is lovely inside and has a nice outside area as well. I had a gluten-free pizza that was delcious. They are able to make most of their menu items gluten-free. Their pastas and sauces are all homemade. My...friend had the ravioli. A nearby table had chickken parm and split it and still had leftovers. All yummy and nicely served.More
