As locals we visit this cafe regularly because it has two things that are very desireable - delightful, competent and truly caring staff who always greet with big, cheerful smiles and proper fresh real food made from terrific ingredients that are prepared when ordered -...not sitting stale in warmers as sadly many cafes do. It is absolutely true that sometimes patrons are told politely that it may take 30 minutes for your order to arrive; but that is because it is being made fresh for you and we appreciate that - I would rather be respected and told the truth than placated with a meaningless "it shouldn't be long" platitudes. This is a place for great food and lovely people, that is the reason it is so popular with locals and visitors alike! (incidentally, we have never had to wait more than 15minutes for our food, even on days where the cafe is full to bursting). It really is well worth the visit if quality food and delicious flavours in a clean, comfortable setting are what you are looking for...More

My beautiful wife and I visited this establishment as my wife had heard good things about it. The place on entering was quiet, so we sat down, grabbed ourselves a menu and decided what we wanted. My wife then got up to order, upon doing...so the lady behind the counter there would be over a half an hour wait? They would be lucky if there was more than another 2 tables with a customer. We quickly left never to return. Don't bother. We weren't acknowledged at any time.More

After heatwave conditions in QLD, how wonderful to find this cozy oasis on gallery walk. My wife declares 'they have salmon Benedict. I say 'right' . The coffee arrives and the flat white is strong and fragrant. Good start. The Benny shows up in ten...minutes. 'Thats rather quick' I admit. The eggs looks like a goose hatched them. The salmon , smoked of course, fresh and layered underneath with spinach. Looks enticing but I've been tricked before with ordinary Hollandaise sauce. It's fine, better than fine, subtle, extra creamy. Verdict: just found the best salmon Benny on tambourine mountain. Magnifique. PS trip advysaid closed on Sunday. Wrong! Make haste to this place . Bloody ripper mate! 'More

What a wonderful experience we had today when we walked in to the Wild Plumb Kitchen. From the moment we entered the door we were most welcomed. Our breakfast was professionally done and presented to us and was delicious, the coffee was fantastic. We found...out it is a family business ran by Rachael and Tim. We are only to happy to recommend this cafe and if you mentioned big Terry sent you, you will get a mug of coffee for the price of a cup… Thank you to all your staff as well.More

I had lunch here with my family on Easter Saturday. The service was friendly, and the food arrived very fast, despite the cafe being almost full. The food was extremely tasty and was amongst some of the best I have ever had at a cafe....Even with the 15% surcharge, the food price was very acceptable, and at less than $20 per person, we were all full enough to do the next 2 hikes without eating anything else. Hence the value for money was excellent too. All in all, I would recommend highly if you are looking for a place to eat before, or after a big day of hiking.More

Visited due to great review score... and very happy. The service was very friendly and family orientated. The staff (which appears to be all family) were doing an excellent job despite being continuously busy. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. Food was absolutely awesome...and the coffee was great. This was a great choice for breakfast on a cold, wet morning.More

The first time we came here I would have given it 5 stars. The food is expensive- avo on a small piece of toast is $16... but I ordered the salmon bagel with not nearly enough salmon to cover the bagel. Disappointing
