The meat is delicious and the sauce is perfect. The side dishes are also good, mostly spicy like kimchi.

Perfect! Really good selection. Cosy and inviting ambiance. Nice dips. Crunchy fresh side salads. Tasty wine. Value for money good. Recommend.

We were all at a conference and wanted all the delegates from the Philippines to just have a nice, relaxing dinner. We actually started late [like 930] but the restaurant still had a good number of people. There were about 20 of us, arriving at...intervals and we were still accommodated next to each other just by drawing partitions until we ultimately occupied three of the 'rooms'. I don't think you can ever really go wrong with Korean BBQ so it boils down to service and meats. The staff was very attentive to us though they were a bit harassed because we kept ordering and each booth had a different order. All in all though it was fun, relaxing and delicious but I believe best to reserve. We had a reservation and at almost 10PM on a Sunday night, there were still a lot of diners.More

Daitoen is a Korean styled BBQ house. If you like meat, you will be certainly satisfied with this restaurant. Both on the 1st and the 2nd floor, there is dining room. The 2nd floor is quieter.

Wow is all I can say about this place. The meat here was so tender and juicy. Originally we had ordered the expensive meat set, it was 6 pieces of meat, and that meat was good. Then we started ordering additional a la carte meat,...beef tongue, beef cheek, and short ribs. We ordered the regular kind, as they had deluxe and specialty. The regular was already soooo good. I come from the Bay Area and I can say the meat at this place is so much better than even the best meat grilling places, such as the ones in Santa Clara. It tasted better than prime meat. This ranks as one of my favorite meat grilling places of all time. A must try if you guys area in Fukuoka.More

I saw this restaurant from TripAdvisor (with high ranking) and just got in for a quick lunch. It was not crowded. We ordered a lunch yakiniku set. (about Yen 1,000), which was similarly priced to other similar restaurants. The meat was just so and so,...and the other side dishes were no good. (I am a big fan of Japanese yakiniku and visited so many restaurants in Japan from top tier to bottom ones.) This is just one of so many, which happened to be located near a central tourist place.More

This Korean style restaurant is the best for a wide selection of grilled meats. Especially the rare parts of the cow such as the tongue, diaphragm, intestines, etc., come in several varieties that all taste great. As custom in Korean restaurant the grills are build...into the table so it is nice entertainment to cook yourself as well. The taste is a bit adapted to Japanese style, i.e. not very spicy, except for the Korean soup. Specially recommended is the horse meat, served sashimi style or slightly grilled. We liked very much the tartare version of this with the typical Korean egg. They have a very good selection of alcoholic drinks, the Chilean red wine (reserve) was fantastic for the price of 2500 yen. We also suggest the plum wine for desserts. The tables in the semi-separated rooms on the first floor are giving a nice feeling of intimacy. Don't forget to push the button for instantaneous service, otherwise you might be waiting for a while before they discover that you don't know the system.More

Looking for dinner on a Saturday night in Fukuoka and decided on Korean food. Daitoen had great reviews on Trip Advisor, so our group of three made its way over there. As soon as we walked in, we could clearly see it was crowded and...very busy. We were already hungry, and this didn't bode well. The greeter asked if we had a reservation. We didn't. She told us it would be 30-40 minutes before a table became available and asked if we'd like to wait. We had already walked a lot that day and didn't feel like wandering around looking for another place, so I said we would wait. She nodded slowly and repeated "You'd like to wait..." as if that wasn't the answer she expected to hear. I got the feeling that if a staff member at a Japanese restaurant tells you the wait will be 30 minutes, that's kind of code for "We don't have any tables available. You should go somewhere else." However, she was friendly and gestured for us to have a seat in the waiting area. About five minutes later she approached me and asked if we'd like to go to their branch location because there might be a table ready there. I said sure, and waited while she called them for us to ask. We were in luck because they did have a table at the branch. The greeter walked out the door with us and used clear gestures as she explained the way to the branch restaurant. The branch was super quiet and nearly empty! And the food was AMAZING! We ordered a set for yakiniku and ishiyaki bibimba, chijimi, assorted kimchi and a couple of beers. Pricey, yes, but good yakiniku often is, and we couldn't have asked for better service (I can speak Japanese, but if you don't speak Japanese you might have difficulties.) A great experience and I want to go back and eat there again.More
