The Sunday lunch of roast lamb (3 thick slices) and lots of veg, plus dessert is so tasty and incredible value at R100. Then there are the farm animals, large play area for the little ones, comfortable seats, Lavazza coffee, everything you need for a relaxing Sunday afternoon. We will be back next Sunday! The weekday menu looks very reasonable too and we will try it this week.

Enjoyed a chocolate milkshake and bobotie pie for breakfast. Extensive menu and an even longer milkshake menu. Touch farm on site and loads of pies, quiches, brownies and farm produce for sale as well. Cosy patio area and also tables in the garden. A super find and we will definitely be back to work down the menu!

We stumbled across Bread & Brew while travelling along the Garden Route. We needed to stop to eat and thought we would have to make do with a service station grab & go snack. What we found was an unexpectedly great place to eat and relax for a while on our road trip. The food ordering concept was new to us but was a really easy way to get just what you want. The quirky decor and roaming animals outside kept us with smiles on our faces for ages after we had left. I should also mention that the food was delicious and the milkshakes are to die for. It's a shame we live so far away as we would love to go there more regularly.

Perfect little hideaway for breakfast, luncg, coffee or family get togethers. Lovely, well priced Sunday lunches are also served. The food is fresh and lovingly made. The venue is perfect for small kids with an extensive playground and animals to feed. I highly recommend it for ant occasion.

We specially stopped here for breakfast on our way back from PE. Despite it raining, we could still sit outside under cover. Excellent coffees, good food. My kids loved that you could build your own sandwich! Got our coffees nice and quick - We will definitely be back.

On pulling up outside (petrol station) we didn't know what to expect the cafe and gardens are gorgeously decorated. Lots of animals and toys so a good stop for anyone with children. Staff were friendly and the food was really good. A hidden gem

There isn't a better place to stop on the N2. Spotlessly clean, with a great range of light meals and really good coffee. Friendly staff, friendly animals (apart from the ostrich, apparently) and a really nice padstal. Strongly recommend the melktert!

Had lunch recently at B&B. Ordered simple dishes - burger & chips - but the patty was woefully under-cooked (as in mostly still raw and lukewarm) and the chips not crispy as requested. Seems they're training new chefs ahead of season, but these new chefs have been there a month already and still have a LONG way to go before they're ready for prime-time. Despite being 15km out of town, this trip used to feel worth doing for the food. But if the new chefs don't improve rapidly, I doubt we'll come back. Met another couple - in fact the only other people there for lunch - and they also had issues. They told us it was both their first and last time - that's how unimpressed they were. We used to be a regulars here and the wait staff are truly lovely. Will we come back? Not sure; seems much more unpredictable than a few months ago. There are better options for lunch, although some of the pies at the front are really good.

Set in forest surrounds with a kiddies play park. The burgers were outsize and tasty and the milkshake flavours offered were really different. A lovely venue to enjoy a leisurely lunch

Great food and service, loved the way the menu was presented. You get given the menu with a black marker and you tick off the blocks next to each item that you want, a fun way of doing things Food was very tasty and well presented. The restaurant has a small animal farm and play area for children

The area's most delightful place for wonderfully fresh food, a relaxed atmosphere and interesting decor. Adele Terblanche, the owner, is very hands on in making sure that the food is perfect and that the customers are happy. The prices are incredibly reasonable and the trip out there for a coffee, milkshake or a meal, is well worth making. I find it incredibly narrow minded that a fellow reviewer would give such a mean review because she was not able to eat her take away meal at one of the tables. In any restaurant that I know of, the small extra cost of sitting down at a table, taking up a space that has to produce an income for the hardworking owner and waiting staff, using the cutlery and crockery, that have to be washed by someone that works for a salary and enjoying all that the coffee shop and surrounding gardens offer, is well worth it. I have been to that shop many times and Adele is the kindest and most caring proprietor I've ever come across.

Bread & Brew have an excellent system where you make your personalised selections from a wide variety of salads, breads, extra toppings by simply ticking off what you'd like. The beautifully prepared items are then delightfully served. My plate of salad, bread and other toppings was so delicious I could have licked the plate clean! The cosy restaurant area set in a park like area with donkeys in the field, chickens wandering around and is most relaxing. There is plenty of parking. Bread & Brew also sells a locally made and eco-friendly in their shop section. As it's just off the N2 at The Crags near the BP Atlantic Filling Station, it is very easy to stop on your journey for a wonderful relaxing treat!
