Excellent dumplings, especially the steamed pork and shrimp. Located in the food section of a shopping centre, this very busy restaurant takes your name and gives you a number with an estimate of when your table will be ready - which leaves you free to...wander through the amazing shopping area. Food was great, staff peofessional, and all very efficient.More

Took an expensive taxi to this original din tai fung but when we got there, they are only open for takeaways and made us walk 200m to their other store with a 55 min wait

This was a part of the group tour activity, so no queueing was required. Service was excellent and they accommodated my dietary restrictions with no issue. Definitely a must go place in Taiwan

This is probably the best dim sum in Taiwan. The problem is that everyone knows that and so there are queues at each of their three restaurants. The other two are in basement food courts and it looks like chaos in their queues. This branch...has a very well managed queue system. I got there at 11:20 on a Monday morning and the waiting time was 25 minutes. By the time I got a table, the waiting time was 1 hour - and still there were queues! When I got in the service was polite and efficient. You can see the menu on your phone if you like that sort of thing but I got a menu with illustrations for each dish. You mark your choice on a printed list which stays on your table so that your dishes can be ticked as they arrive and you can take it to the cashier to pay afterwards.. The food is so delicious. I had the dim sum with pork and gravy inside which won them a Michelin star. I also had little aubergines cooked to perfection. My three dishes cost TWD429 (£11.16 when I got my credit card bill.). At their London branch they would have cost two or three times as much. It's worth budgeting for queueing time - the food is so good.More

Eat at here three years ago. After the COVID, nothing is changed. Delicious as usual. Service is only acceptable as before. Still need to take a ticket and waiting for 20 minutes to get a seat. This time, we tried some seasonal vegetable, which You...can’t find at other counties. The price is average and the food is good. Sure will visit again.More

This original Ding Tai Fung location in Taipei is now TO GO only! This is not a complaint, but a compliment! All our favorite food items are available and packaged so carefully that it was still warm when it arrived at home. We enjoyed the...xiao long bao, the steamed vegetarian dumplings, the pork & veggie wontons, the minced pork noodles (jia jiang mien,) etc. The won tons were packaged separately from the soup so that the won tons would not overcook on the way back. The vegetarian dumplings were not dyed green like they are here in the U.S. Ding Tai Fungs. You also get a really nice reusable Ding Tai Fung bag, which you do not get when getting takeout from the other branches of DTF. It is also located very conveniently on the MRT subway!More

Din Tai Fung first opened in Xinyi Road, Taipei, in the 1980s, and its dumplings were so delicious that Din Tai Fung spread around Taiwan, then around the world. The restaurant and cuisine are traditional Chinese and rellatively simple. The secret is to make dumplings...that are consistenly excellent. Din Tai Fung is best known for is shao long bao (soup dumplings). Nibble a tiny hole in the skin of the dumpling and suck out the broth, Careful! It's very hot!More
