Had the best coffee, great breakfast and prompt service at this establishment. The team work and coffee knowledge by the staff very good. This place is a must go and well supported by locals.

I absolutely loved that coffee shop we stumbled upon by chance, the food was so tasty and the service quick, the coffee hot... I will go back.

This was our 2nd visit to this espresso bar. The staff members are very friendly, the cuppaccino's amazing and the carrot cake lovely and moist. It was a lovely outing.

We went back to this space a few times, the coffee cakes and service are the best in town! Highly recommended!

We stopped off on a Sunday morning and we were surprised at how busy they were. Stunning to sit under the vine outside where the breeze cooled you off on a hot day. We had the most amazing coffee and then the most amazing chocolate...croissant which was light and rich. My husband is eagerly awaiting the egg nest which they warn you takes a little while but it is so relaxing the wait is a pleasure. Judging by the amount of locals that seem to have favorite tables this is a gem.More

The presence of locals told us that this must be worth a visit and we were not disappointed. Service and food were both superb. Eating outdoors under the shelter of an old vine made the experience even more special.

We were a group of 12 people having lunch. Fantastic coffee and the food was outstanding! No problem to handle such a big group. Service was excellent!

I saw a review from "Ulrich S", and I am flabbergasted. I frequently visit this place and apart from outstanding coffee and good food, the service I receive every time is simply excellent. Last time I walked in at 13.58 exactly, and I could still...order a takeaway toast, which the staff prepared with great care and a big smile... Well after the for that time being imposed closing time by government. Even in this difficult Corona crisis time, both the owner and his staff go the extra mile. Hence my reaction as it would be unfair to judge a business on one comment...More

If the tourist industry is starting to go again (with local travellers for the forseeable future) then this restaurant is still in clutch out mode ...The owner must change attitude and personell.. How can you turn 5 persons away at 13h45 stating that you closing...at 14h00??? obviously not hurting enough from the Covid crisis. The new game is about good service and particularly South African travellers . If you close permanently , Riebeek Kasteel would not notice as there are other places that would love to sell Coffee and some lunch or cakes... My company , Big Bay tours , will NEVER use this restaurant again . Let them close at 13h45.......More

Service wasn't good at all, food wasn't exceptional and pricey. We always enjoy their coffee thus the reason we went there for breakfast. Will only go again to have a cup of coffee.

I've seen dogs with patrons nearly every time we have visited the Riebeek Kasteel. I suppose as long as your dog is socialized there shouldn't be a problem
