Very friendly staff. Lovely food. All round winner. Sit indoors we sat outdoors with a
lovely view of the hotel across the way. Prices are reasonable.
The evening was very nice thankyou to all. Definitely be back.
Read about this restaurant in Country Life and by chance was going to be staying in Riebeeck Kasteel.
What a great choice for lunch. We were a large party of 14 and have to say service was great and no waiting as such for the...serving of our meals.
Quality of the food was outstanding and an amazing time was had by all.
Cannot wait to return one day soon.
If in the area, do not disappoint yourself do go and enjoy a superb Italian meal in this most delightful restaurant.More
We visited this restaurant for a pizza and enjoyed every bit of - friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff without being over-bearing, lovely atmosphere and some of the best pizza (Four Seasons shared in our case) we have had anywhere. Superb winelist too. Out of the...way for us but we will be back when we visit Riebeek-Kasteel again.More
What a hot summer's night. @ 20.00 still 36'C outside...this place were packed. We didn't book, but got a table by the entrance. Did not help much.
The food were absolutely amazing. Presentation is key. You first eat with your eyes and the aroma of the...food. Gosh!! I can smell it by just looking at these pictures.
I had a deconstructed Beef lasagne with Aubergines. My friend had an amazing fresh mussel with calamari tubes creamy tumeric/curry pasta.
Both our pastas were home made. Delicious.
Will definitely visit them again. But this time I will book.
They had amazing homemade ice cream. My favorite. It tasted like more.
Good service, great food and lovely ambiance.More
As a family of 3 staying in Riebeek Valley...away from ALL the other options in the big city life.......We have Mama Cucina, with the owners Johan & Coenie, and the amazing manager Peter and their wonderful staff. Consistently friendly & good service. No one can...question the quality of their food products.....And good value for money.... Oh and then the vibe.....its intimately friendly...for a "date night", a family of 3 or a group of friends ..you cant go wrong. .....their track record speaks for itself. ...ask any of the locals..More
You can possibly choose any dish on their menu and be blown away by the amazing flavors presented on your plate. Their pizzas are to die for and pastas, amazing! Their Gelato ice creams taste like heaven and not surprising as the atmosphere here is...so romantic and inviting. you have to go in!!!
Service, I can not fault at all, all their staff were so friendly from arrival to the end. We will definitely be coming back for more, tomorrow we will get more Gelato, for breakfast!More
Ok so Riebeek Kasteel isn't nowhere, but it sin't a place you would imagine to have the quality and authenticity as a lot of cities like Jo'burg, Pretoria or Cape Town. Their food is exceptional, pasta's served al dente, whilst not over saucing. So many...ingredients locally sourced coupled with homemade dishes. Ottimo!More
Used to be our favourite go-to-restaurant in Riebeek kasteel. Sadly I don't think we will go back. Food standards has dropped but prices has gone up. The popular Sophia Lauren pizza could not be ordered because no avo was available. This was second visit in...a row that no avo was available. I had to order another pizza instead and was not impressed with lack of toppings and overall taste. Lots of great pizza restaurants around. The pasta my wife ordered was bland and tasteless. Cheese cake was suppose to be the redeemer but it tasted more like a condensed milk cheese cake.More

To find something wrong with everything because there was one ingredient missing is no reason for this review,it seems. The fact that avos of good quality as we all know is hard to find this time of the year and is not the restaurants fault,at least...More
