Amazing scampi 😀 Nothing like the small, frozen offerings in the UK. Excellent service from Valentine Thank you

Absolutely great meal l could quite easily eat there every day the scampie and calamari were delicious
On a Sunday at lunch time we enjoyed our snack, grilled gamba’s with chips. It is basic but price quality good food. A guy was playing nice music and on Sundays reservation is needed. Place to visit when you’re in the neighbourhood
The best staff in the Southern Peninsula! Great weekend vibes, always amazing food and quick service. Best chilli poppers in Cape Town!!!
After a walk on Kommetjie beach, we decided to have a drink and lunch at this establishment. The chicken salad was good (not great) - just good. It was very pleasant to sit under the trees after a hot walk and sip our beers slowly....Apparently, the fish and chips are very good here.More
We loved the casual, spacious outside feel to the restaurant. Great service by friendly waitrons. We enjoyed pizza....I chose the lavender pizza which comprised of Chicken, blue cheese and blue fig. It was probably one of the BEST pizza I have enjoyed! Definitely recommend this...restaurant!More
Good food and reasonably priced, however, service was very poor and it took over 3 hours to order and receive our mains for lunch.
A very relaxed lunch, tasty food and great waiting... will sure pop in for a by-the-way experience... totally unexpected.
My partner and i were hoping to have a lovely lunch here on Valentines day but were very disappointed. As locals we often attend this restaurant and despite the lovely atmosphere and live music, i cant say we were happy with the quality of the...burger patties - which was definitely a down grade from previous visits. The patty tasted very different, and the texture was funny , not firm enough. On top of that - while eating his burger my partner found a small piece of plastic.. At first we thought we wont make a fuss , instead we will carry on eating and inform the waiter when we are done. However after my partner pulled out a second bigger piece of plastic we decided to complain. Once the manager arrived we asked her about the patties and she informed us that they still buy their patties from the same supplier. We then showed her the plastic pieces we found , she apologized and offered another burger. Unfortunately at this point my partners appetite had dissipated so he declined the offer, to which the manager offered a drink on the house. My partner kindly declined the beverage offer and asked for a discount on his burger instead. To our dismay - the manager only gave a 25% discount on a burger that had plastic in it!! Now to do this when our date had already been ruined by plastic in our food was appalling - we expected at least 50% discount as this is PLASTIC that we found ,after all . The excuse was that they put plastic between the patties when storing them and that's obviously where it must of come from. I would suggest ensuring that the patties are prepped and cooked properly before sending out to a couple ON Valentines Day. And to look after your locals better as this experience was appalling and we've never had such issues beforeMore
Nice place with good food and drink. We liked the pizza, steak and fish very much. Watch out for baboons :-)
Traditional pub with lots of sufers around. The restaurant has improved over the years and now offers a large variety of meat and fish dishes. A great place for the family, where kids can play around
The Fisherman’s is always relied on by our family for affordable, quality, casual dining. Whether it’ just to get takeaway pizza - crispy thin bases and always good - or to pop in for a sit-down lunch or supper, we’ve never been disappointed. The choice...of main dishes is comprehensive. Chips are my staple accompaniment to any meal and Fisherman’s are the best on the Peninsula. The ambiance is friendly and pleasant, seating inside or out, live music during the day on weekends, and big screen sports in the pub area. I would definitely recommend The Fisherman’s as a lunchtime stop on a peninsula drive, or perhaps even for a quick dinner on the way home. See you there ...More
If you make the trip to Kommetjie, plan in a lunch at Fisherman's. This beer-garden / restaurant has ample seating under large shade trees and a play area for the little ones. A great place for families with younger kids. The staff is fantastic! Super...friendly :) We have had lunch here several times (about 10) and have not been disappointed once. Great place to be on a sunny day. Catch live music on weekends.More
We were driving back to Camps Bay from Cape Point and looking out for somewhere to stop and eat when we spotted this restaurant. I have to say appearances can be deceptive as it does not look much from the road! It is nothing posh...to look at inside with plastic tablecloths and sauce bottles on the tables! Our helpful waiter Edgar explained the menu and brought drinks. We noticed a lot of locals dining which is always a good endorsement. We both ordered the fish combo (hake and calamari with chips). It was all well cooked and tasty and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meal.More
Real kind people are werking here. The food (salades mostly) was okay but not very special. Many locals meet here.
