This is probably the best place to eat pizzolo, a local dish.
I've been there countless times and even now that I don't live in Italy anymore, every time I visit Sicily I go to eat there at least once!
Everything is really great. Great...food, good portions, reasonable price! The staff is also very friendly, albeit very busy (not sure if they speak English, though, as this is a place "for locals"). Don't expect anything fancy in terms of towels and the like, that part is relatively basic but food is king here.
The only downside is that everyone knows how good this place is, so it's often packed, especially during the weekend. It's highly recommended, then, to book in advance. Even then, you might have to wait, but certainly for a shorter time.More
