We stopped in at Linga Lapa to pick up some local produce for a braai with friends. The selection of meat was fantastic, we were spoilt for choice and quality. Their biltong is the best in the Midlands.
Excellent experience for dinner last December (excuse the tardiness of this review!). Owner and partner very welcoming. Most interesting venue (many features of the original building retained). We'll go again!
The lovely rustic decor of the restaurant gives one a peek into the activities of the local folk. The welcome is friendly and genuine, and the service is very good.
My husband and I were in the mood for a good hamburger, and the restaurant...did not disappoint. All their meat is homegrown and of the highest standard. Their hamburger and chips was really delicious, and the prices are very reasonable! We will be back.More
This is by far the best shop and deli to stop at when traveling. The range of food and delicacies which include vegan and Mediterranean are really good. Also freshly baked bread, meat, cheese and preserves.
Good place to stock up on farm fresh groceries...for the holiday while you wait for your food to be served.More
The place is not nice when you enter. It gives you the idea of old and run down. But the food is really good which is what one wants in a restaurant. The service was average and the wait long - like in many restaurants...in this area.More
I attended a birthday party for about 50 people at Linga Lapa. Our function was in the boma area with a separate bar set up. Very rustic great atmosphere with a fire in the centre!.We had a great time. The place is spotless. Service excellent....The staff and owners are friendly and hospitable. Last but most definitely not least, the food. The best steak, ribs, sausage, chicken kebabs EVER.Side dishes also awesome. Great quality , delicious food and certainly enough! Thank you for an amazing evening!More
Two in our party had a full meal and two just had some light snacks. Service was brisk and friendly, and all the food arrived at the same time. Portions were generous and well presented, and the food had been prepared from fresh- nothing tasted...as if pre-prepared and just heated up.
Prices are reasonable for fare offered,, The decor is unusual - it is not just a large rectangle with tables and chairs and arbitrary artifacts or pictures on the walls. Very cottagey with nooks and crannies.
There is also a general store adjacent that sells many farm and home made items such as jams and treats, and a reasonably priced butchery - the dry wors is very good.
Certainly a place where we would haveno hesitation in returning to for another meal.More
