Wow! Such a delightful place along the meander. Went with some friends to the quiz night that they have on a Tuesday and it was so much fun 🤩 the overall vibe of the restaurant is so unique (got the whole German thing going on)...and food is “chefs kiss” 🤌🏼 I had the Tiroler Gröstl and it superb but what was even better was the Butterkuchen dessert! You also cannot miss out on the terribly lovely “Merry mountain goat” shooters. It is on the pricier side of things but portions and taste are worth it. The staff are friendly and attentive and there is sufficient parking. Will definitely be back for another quiz night!More

Visited this restaurant several years ago. I was not disappointed. The spare rib special was very good. The staff was pleasant and efficient. and a great atmosphere. Good selection of beers and Austrian food. Plenty of free parking close by. Great place to stop on...the Midlands Meander.More

Absolutely horrible service, food came 1 hour late and we all got our food at different times. Food was sub par, no sauce on my burger, no seasoning on the mushrooms or chips. Waitress Zah came back to the table after we gave her a...tip, threw the tip back on the table and shamed us about the tip being too small.. Ungrateful and absolutely shameful. Dirty dishes were left on our table, and order was taken wrong as well... Terrible service. Will never be coming back.More

Celebrated my 70th B/D at Bierfassl. It was great. The service good, food very good and we enjoyed the drinks too. Pity no RSA beers but I enjoyed the German beers and my wife had the Gin Paddle. A great afternoon.

Went as a family to Bierfassl for a light snack. Felt welcomed by the staff and they allowed us to move the tables to accommodate our party of 6. The food was excellent and the service as well. Will highly recommend this Austrian themed place...for anyone who likes to be a bit adventurous. And our complements to the chef.More

The service was professional and the steward was extremely helpful to provide a split bill and to provide kitchen shared meals to the family members who wished to have half portions. The meals were of a generous portions and the "Pan Fried Fish (trout)" was...well presented and delicious. Our visit to the Bierfassl was on a Monday evening. The restaurant was not at 100 % capacity probably because Monday being a tradition quiet evening. Hence the atmosphere within the restaurant was suitable for family conversations. The internal lay out and menu, especially the selection of beers, could create the feeling of an evening in Austrian or Bavarian tavern.More

This restaurant ticks all the correct boxes for a good meal....on the internet.... BUT, what a disappointment when you actually eat there. We tried the restaurant for lunch and later for dinner and we were equally disappointed with the food and service quality every time....I love Austrian/German food and have eaten their traditional dishes many times in Austria and in Germany...but this local Austrian restaurant - Bierfassl does not even come close to offering real Austrian dishes... maybe in name, but DEFINITELY not in quality and taste. My Jaeger Schnitzel tasted bland and oily ( one could taste the old oil which was used to fry the pork steak in) and the chips tasted of old oil as well.... the Eisbein was bland and tasted of old oil somehow... Service at our table was almost non existent and it seemed as if the waiters did not want to work and for them it was a huge effort to take your order and bring your drinks/ food... All in all ...not a nice experience at all at this restaurant. Best to avoid if you canMore

After a great Saturday morning out in the Midlands, decided to stop over at an old favorite, but hugely disappointing. The apathy of the staff, and particularly the host who didn't bother to engage once during our stay, was probably the worst i've experienced in...a long time. It was quite clear they had a big problem in the kitchen, coupled with stretched waitrons. My guess by the number of outside tables, is that there were just too many customers for the venue. It took just under an hour for 3 starters to arrive, and then a further length of time for mains. Not once did the host engage and apologize for the waits, despite passing our table multiple times. For the prices being charged, size of the table (8) and knowing there were issues, one would expect SOME attention.More

We had a lovely meal here. We were not to hungry so we ordered a dish with 3 different sausages, sourkrout and veg. The waitress was more than happy to bring us each a plate and no issues that we wanted to share. The service...and ambiance was excellent. The manager was so helpful and he told us so much history. What a great atmosphere and although we never had kids with us, there is loads of entertainment.More
