Lovely, relaxed venue with great food, beautiful views and very friendly staff. Stew-it, the resident lamb, always fun to meet.

This is my absolute favourite restaurant in the Stanford area. The food is consistently excellent as is the wine, but our best bit is the view, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This is an outstanding restaurant set in an idyllic backwater in the Cape Province close to the historic village of Stanford. It is child-friendly and animal-friendly and has large spacious play areas and opportunities for vineyard walks. The lunch menu is varied catering to all culinary tastes and is modestly priced. The service is prompt and very polite, the wines... More

We are Tasting Room regulars from Somerset west who stop by every time we visit Stanford to enjoy the lovely meals served by warm hearted staff, to wonder at the absolutely picturesque surrounds, to imbibe Stanford Hills' fine selection of fine, award-winning wines and to watch our two toddlers gambol on the lawns and enjoy the trampoline and rustic and... very busy, nice venue and setting, young and old , waiters was overwhelmed and could not cope with all the orders. Normal for this time of the year. But it was still lovely and the food was good and the wine and beers drafts was amazing!

Superb views from a rustic hillside restaurant. Excellent tapas with generous portions and a tasty venison and beef burger. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Will come again.

From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and knew we were at the right place. We stopped at a restaurant in De Kelders just before and walked out as we did not feel welcome. What a lovely change to an unfriendly start to our day. We shared Stanfordhills's lovely Shiraz-Rose which was perfect for a sunny Saturday lunch. The... More

The tasting room provides excellent food in a beautiful setting, not to mention a range of award-winning wines from the Estate. The chalkboard menu changes daily according to what is freshly available, and always includes options for children and vegetarians.
