We have walked past Silvano's very often during 2 previous visits to Greyton, but never went in to sample the food because we thought they were only open at lunchtime! We had a really excellent family dinner last week. Good quality, reasonably priced and varied...enough menu for our teen boys and ourselves. Particularly enjoyed the chicken livers and the green bean starter. Our pastas (4 different dishes) were all excellent, great sized and extremely tasty. Hubby and I didn't have room for dessert, but the boys (of course!) managed waffles and ice cream, which looked and smelled divine. Our only disappointment, which was nothing at all to do with Silvano's, was not being able to enjoy a glass of wine upstairs with the fabulous view they have from the roof top. Next time!More

This is a friendly establishment where you will receive a warm and genuine welcome, alongside decent service. However, our evening meal was disappointing. We chose a simple combimation of starters of - olives and Halloumi. The olives were pleasant, but the cheese was salty and...of below average standard. For mains I had a Argentine Prawns and Hake combo. Neither was awful but lacked freshness and nothing that I couldn't get at my local neighbourhood takeaway fish shop in Cape Town. It certainly didnt warrant the 190 bucks price!! My wife's Kingklip was overcooked. Expect a friendly welcome. Dont come expecting great food.More

We drove through Greyton in search of a restaurant to have lunch. We ended up having lunch at Silvanos and it ended up being exactly what we were looking for. Kind employees and a perfectly delivered service.

We were hoping for a wow experience at Silvanos for some reason, as the menu (food and drinks) was quite promising but we left with having a good-enough experience. It wasn’t terrible at all, but just not as good as we would have hoped. We’d...heard good things before as well, so maybe it was a bit of an off-day. We still had fun. The milkshakes were pretty great. :)More

I had the Mafiosi pasta that was just amazing and a big meal. The poppers are also so huge and very yummy. The staff are so friendly . Very relaxing environment and upstairs has an amazing view .

Pleasantly surprised with spectacular views on the deck, friendly staff and great food. The food was flavourful and the portions generous. The best part is, they are pet friendly. A very pleasent end to our visit to Greyton.

Arrived at Silvano's to be advised no beer on tap, no chilli poppers, and not all the wines on the extremely limited menu. Ordered halloumi which was fine, followed by grilled calamari which took over half an hour. The price should have alerted us to...the meagre portion which finally arrived. For dessert no chocolate sauce and no Portuguese doughnuts so we ordered waffles with maple syrup. These soggy offerings had been warmed to tepid in the microwave and came with a cheap brand of golden syrup. It seems there has been change in management, which perhaps explains the previous glowing reviews. A low point of an otherwise wonderful stay in Greyton.More
