My wide and I enjoy German/Swiss cuisine; The publicity material promised the best Eisbein and a good selection of menu items that would satisfy our taste buds. Eisbein was not the best--not bad but not the best. Other items we tasted were OK but not...great. Ambiance on the evening was very quiet--but let me be fair the weather was bad and it was a midweek evening so patronage was down with the restaurant largely empty.More

My husband and I had dinner here on Saturday evenkng, 1st May and it didnt disappoint. With my husband being half Dutch and German it was an authentic experience for him. Great food, great service and a wonderful European setting. Will definitely recommend this establishment.

I wanted to get a family meal, was not allowed in due to my attire....wont go back there again...If this ws done in a decent or polite manner, it may have been acceptable but the arrogance/rudeness displayed was unacceptable.

The food and atmosphere is amazing! Eisbein is the best in SA! I did have it in so many different places in SA and trust me!!! It’s the best in this place!

This is literally the best place to get eisbein between Joburg and the south coast. The service is great and the food is outstanding. Don't forget to get dessert, you cannot be disappointed by these either!

The service is great, the food yummy and the value is worth the visit. You can't beat German food with German beer.

We visited a couple of times. The eisbein is delicious and served with real sauerkraut. The best part was the desert! Waffles with the most delicious sauce!

We visited Munchner House on Boxing Day and were delighted by the entire experience. Nicole bent over backwards to accommodate us as we arrived well before opening time. Johan, who took on our waitron duties, was brilliant too. The meals ordered were outstanding with traditional...eisbein being the cherry on top. It also needs to be noted that the pizza in on my sons view is one of the top 5 he had ever eaten and that’s saying something! Muncher House is a ‘must visit’ venue on the South Coast so book now!More

A quaint setting with delicious German fare on offer. Tasty main meals that were well priced. Delicious apple strudel! Service was unfortunately a little slow. Would visit again
