A very local restaurant visited by locals. Having saying that, there are not many other options in town. I came here as the Lookout restaurant was closed.
The menu was the traditional dishes, with very local prices.
I ordered a burger and a side salad. The food was not to my taste, as I like plain patties (not mixed with herbs or spices), but for those who don't mind, I assume it was ok and good meat considering the area it is...
The Brandy cake was however excellent...

Stayed here for 9 days. Very warm and friendly people and excellent meals served with a personal touch. The guest house lies in a quiet road very close to the centre of Kirkwood.

Very relaxing restaurant after a full day at Addo Park. Excellent food and value for money. Very carring staff and friendly Manager. Will surely visit again.

Amazing place........ Amazing food ... And loyal staff.. love their service.. prices very good and you can find good food here... Love to visit again... Thank you Nardus the pizza was simply the best.... I would definitely recommend this place.

We were on our way to Oudtshoorn from Addo. Way to hot and tired to continue and found this via Tourism office. Entrance looked a bit dodgy but there was a very nice lady who checked us in. For the price you pay we were pleasantly surprised! Got breakfast included. We had a room with air con - bless them. Double bed clean towels basic tv and bar fridge. All you need for an emergency stop. Could park our car just outside our door. Owner popped by to check if all was well. Next morning we had a full on english breakfast with coffee. A great start to our day.

Lovely food and a lovely shop ! A super menu with reasonable charges and a shop filled with different bits and pieces. Bought a super little wooden angel - and saw lots more

From the outside, this establishment looks drab, but as the old adage goes, you can't judge a book by its cover. Once you get past the dustiness of the sidewalk and the brown-ness of the face brick exterior, you are in for a colourful surprise! The decor is bright, and the refreshments we had were unexpectedly good! Coffee was real "boerekoffie" and toasted sarmies tasty.
And if the disenchanted locals decide to go on service delivery protests, in other words, vandalising, then the steel roller doors are there to offer some measure of protection.

We stopped here on our way from Addo to Oudtshoorn for a late breakfast. An hour waiting for our food made this an early lunch instead, and the food wasn't anything spectacular.
Alarm bells should've been going when we sat down and waited 20 minutes before we had to go looking for a server to take our order.
In addition there was a stale smoke smell throughout the entire restaurant.
Next time we'll try one of the facilities just outside of town.

It is a bit more than just a Coffee Shop!!
People that we take to this place is always amazed to find an establishment of such quality in a small place like Humansdorp. The ambiance, service and food is always excellent and there is a menu that will satisfy even the most difficult customer.
You may have to wait to get a table as it is such a popular place.

I had heard this is great place for prime rib on Friday night and other specials other nights. however, I was visiting NP on a Wednesday night.
Wednesday night was rib night. And the ribs were the meatiest pork ribs I have had in a long time. No fat - like eating a pork tenderloin. I would come back any time for them.
We have also stopped in for coffee on two occasions. Coffee is good and they have a great assortment of sweets Cookies, turnovers, m&m bars, scones.
Definitely a comeback place.
