Food was excellent french canadian cuisine. This was no 5 star restaurant in the wordly sense, but every table was filled and primarily locals attended. The harvest type food preparation was excellent. If you speak no french at all and expect clear and full communication,...you may be disapointed.More

I was driving the liesurely highway 138 from Quebec City to Montreal when I stopped at this village for lunch. The Bistro in right off the river with an amazing view on the outdoor terrace. The restaurant is French-speaking, but they have an English version...of their menu. Of course, you must have a plate of pountines! The food was great and the place was friendly and clean. The menu is definitely Quebecouis. The bathroom downstairs also has the cutest sinks!More

Very good service! The view of the Saint Lawrence is great! Nice choice of ice cold microbrews. The food very good except the hamburgers or patties unfortunately. The meat is too pure so very dry. It really needs to be cut with more fat for...it to be juicy. My friend took the blood pudding which was extraordinary! Everything else was excellent!More

This was a great find on our way home from Nova Scotia on the banks of the St Lawrence Seaway. A quaint little restaurant with great food and views, if it wasn’t for the two screaming kids beside it would have been perfect. A high...recommendation to this establishment as I’m sure most of you won’t mind the kids.More

The food was very tasty. Their specialties: Highland beef burger and smoke meat were very good. Nice choice of salads. Service was pleasant but a little stressed by the children.

It is mostly a place for meat lovers. Their burgers are awesome, and the poutines are out of this world. You can also find a few things if you are more on the vegetarian side. Salads are very good. Beautiful location, view on the Saint...Lawrence River.More

We found this restaurant by chance driving from Quebec to Ottawa having taken the scenic route on the Chemin du Roy. Don’t be put off by the rather plain exterior - inside it’s rustic, attractive, and has wonderful views across the water. It was all...about ‘farm to table’ food, with even a blackboard of all the cuts of meat on a beast! The mains of smoked meat served with salad, pickle, home made slaw and mustard was a good choice. As was their pulled beef Poutine - although the large portion at lunchtime was sleep inducing! Great place to stop on along day driving. And their Sunday brunch menu looked well worth a visit.More

We were advised that this was the best restaurant in town serving local beef. The location was fantastic, we sat outside and had a wonderful view of the St. Lawrence. We both had appetizers and Beef for dinner. Unfortunately there were a lot of flies...outside, and we also found one in the Escargot, under a snail, pointed this out to the waitress and ordered a salad as a replacement. When she came with the salad, she cheerily said "bon chance!" - Really! I can still see the fly on it's back in the escargot dish - no thanks and we still had to pay for the salad - C'est la vie - I guess.More

I happened by while riding a motorcycle. Route 138 is good for a ride. The bistro was excellent overlooking the St. Lawrence. Variety of menu and clearly a lot of locals. Definitely worth a visit.
