We had the fish and chips as a takeaway they were way overpriced and poor quality. In fact so rubbish they ended up in the bin. Very disappointed and felt we got totally ripped off! Never going there again.
The staff were lovely, making a fuss of our baby and asking where would be easiest for us to sit with a pram. The changing facilities were also very good. We all ordered ciabattas which were nice but a lot of bread and would have...liked more salad with itMore
We haven't been 'out' to eat since September 2020. We are also not so savvy with all the tech 'check ins' etc etc. So our first approach to The Lighthouse was a bit fraught with check in rules and we decided to leave. It all...seemed a bit too much for a bit of lunch! However, having sat on some rocks looking at the lovely sea and Needles in the distance, the young but determined front of house lady made her way over to us and said they had a table for us. This was over and above what we would ever expect. We ended up having the most wonderful food: lovely sharing seafood platter to start, then a delicious paella for me and massive fish and chips for my other half. Service was friendly and attentive throughout. I would like to say thank you for your thoughtfulness and service. Two old fogeys were very grateful. We hope to return soon and now understand all the rules and regs re Covid!More
My family want to say a BIG Thank You to David and his team who went above and beyond when my brother in law fell while out for a run and needed medical attention. Even after David had taken him to The Urgent Care Centre...the waitress was concerned about how my son and I would get back to our hotel and wanted to get someone to drop us back. You all made a dreadful situation much better by your care and help. He’s on the mend, limping happily at home! Thank you 🙏More
We have been to The Lighthouse many times, from breakfast to dinner and drinks, it's always a great venue with awesome staff!
Food is amazing! Great range of choice and super delicious.
Staff are all friendly, special shout out to Livvy and James.
We are regulars at their sister venue at Barton On Sea and were expecting the same standard at the Light House but were very disappointed.
As we queued for coffees we noticed how much rubbish and litter there was in the restaurant garden and path...area, including a pair of shorts.
The member of staff who took our coffee order was pleasant enough but working on her own. She served the queue out of turn, making ice creams for the people behind us, whilst we waited for our coffees. Again the waiting area was dirty with rubbish blowing around and there was real bottleneck as customers waited and new customers arrived- certainly not 2 metres apart.
I went inside to use the Ladies and was again disappointed to find they were dirty with paper towels on the floor and generally untidy.
All in all not a great visit, although the coffee was good.More
We have been going to The Lighthouse supporting them at every opportunity. Went today for the first time in a couple of weeks walk the dog and then thought we would go there for breakfast. Looking at the tables as we approached they where all...empty outside and plenty empty inside. My wife went inside just to check we could still take the dog into the out side part. To be greeted by if you haven’t booked you are not allowed in. We where told that we would only be allowed take away. Not a great way to run a business and not part of any Goverment restrictions.

Having tried several other places - all fully booked because of Covid restrictions - we stumbled across this gem of a place! We were lucky enough to pick up a cancelled reservation, and because it's a casual restaurant were prepared for the food to be...ok. It wasn't ok - it was fantastic. Innovative food, perfectly cooked. We had padron peppers (with fried caped and carrot chips - wow!) and cured salmon with fennel salad (another wow) followed by crab with salad and fries and surf and turf. The steak was so perfectly cooked, we sent a thank you to kitchen! All served by friendly attentive staff. Our change meal here was probably the highlight of our weekend away.More
