Firstly, I dined at a restaurant that just opened up in my town. The atmosphere was lively and the décor was beautiful. However, the service was quite slow and it took a while for our food to arrive. When it did, it was not as...hot as I would have liked it to be. Despite this, the flavors were exceptional and the portion size was generous. I would recommend this restaurant for the food, but suggest they work on their service.More

Only our 2nd time at a Michelin restaurant. Previously Gavroche was my favourite but this surpassed it I feel. We are not wealthy so we remortgaged the house but what a great experience for our 20th anniversary. We chose to go with the 7 course...plant based taster menu. The staff were friendly and the sommelier in the dining room was very interesting to talk to. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the taste sublime. I didn’t care for the beetroot course as very vinegary, but everything else I loved. My negative was the long wait for a drink on arrival in the drawing room and when asked if we’d like cheese pre dessert not being told it was extra. A shared platter of slivers of cheese for £39 when the cheeses were not unusual as we’d had them all before. That left a sour taste figuratively speaking. All in all though a successful evening which we enjoyed.More

Poor communication. Emailed 3 weeks ago to book dinner and overnight stay for 2 families. No response to date, disappointed. Unlike the Bkack Swan at Olstead that we recently stayed at, including overnight stay where communication was excellent. Will now look to be booking elsewhere...now other than Le Manoir, where communication has been non-existent.More

Haha, that's great. Each course was beautiful and an addictive creation on the plate. A professional and the staff. went for birthday and took advantage of dining in a private room and then drinking at the Orangery. Beautiful, memorable day.

What a fantastic experience, cannot recommend highly enough, waiting staff are amazing, the food is outstanding, catering for my special dietary requirements without fuss and a good job they put the plates in the right place as visually almost identical. Little touches such as delivering specially made pastries...straight to the table at breakfast mean so much. Evening taster menu easily the best I have ever had and a surprise visit by the man himself for a birthday photo with my wife just blew us away!More

Amazing! This is quite the experience in every sense of the word. It seems like out of a movie. You start with drinks by the fire in the beautiful sitting room and then move on to dinner. Each course is more delicious than the next....We weren’t able to enjoy the wine pairings but the wine list is the best I’ve ever seen. My only regret is not having room for the cheese course.More

What a wonderful lunch at Le Manoir celebrating our Wedding Anniversary with friends. We arrived in pouring rain and so sadly missed a stroll around the pretty grounds, however once safely installed in the restaurant and its lounge areas we didn't want to leave! We...started in a small cosy bar with some cocktails and nibbles before heading to our table in the main restaurant room. We ate a 7 course tasting menu which just went from strength to strength. The staff were so professional and subtle - helpful and present without being in the way. They were able to swap out one of the courses for me due to an allergy - no problem. We had a wine flight to match the food. I loved the choices - not a weak link in the menu. Perfect portions, not too big and so the 7 courses were manageable. Afterwards we were shown through to sofas in one of the lounges to digest, chat and continue our afternoon in comfort. It certainly lived up to its reputation for quality and fine dining.More

Visited the restaurant twice during our two night stay. We indulged on a large scale and enjoyed the seven course menu on both evenings. Both nights were different but both were exceptional. It doesn’t get any better personally. Highly recommend .

Here are the things we wanted to know but couldn't find answers to before we went for the 7-course tasting menu, plus some other things useful to know. Dress code was smart casual and there were people in everything from super smart (suit and tie)...to low-key. You could wear anything. There was bread, plenty of it, and even that was sensational. There was a canapés course before the tasting menu began. Wine was available by the glass -- most cost £15 but the cheapest was a white at £10. They will ask if you want water, still, sparkling, or filter. Filter is free. We moved into the lounge for coffee afterwards (with petits fours, an additional course also included). There was a complementary digestif served here too. They added a 12.5% gratuity to the bill. The veggie menu was incredible -- we had one meat, one veggie, so were able to sample each other's.More
