We came here on 2 separate nights on our week long holiday. Both times, the service was absolutely fantastic from start to finish (we had a man with glasses and a woman with short hair - not sure of names!). The second night we were...even put on a table on the beach which was lovely. The food was delicious - we had the salmon, beef rendang and a chicken dish. Certainly not the cheapest restaurant on the island, but truly worth the money.More

Visited the place for a drink,after finding out from searching the net, we were 2 ladies coming from KL for a weekend holiday. . When we arrived, we loved the place, the customers who were there showed us a friendly smiles. And we smiled back...cos we are polite as they are. We never disturb anyone. We enjoyed our own company. Barman Mood was friendly and nice and we like him. When Mood left for a break, another bar staff came and engaged a conversation with us. Being polite, and courteous we give ears to him, when we left that barstaff told another malaysian indian customer that "Abang dia gatal" Very nice of him to malign us. Some more say it to another customer. Is that how Casa Del Mar Hotel and La Sal Restaurant standards? You make single ladies/women customers feel unsafe.and insecure. If you are younger ladies/women and not accompanied by your other half, dont be friendly when you visit La Sal Restaurant at Casa Del Mar Langkawi or else you will be maligned by the disgraceful staff. We went to Bamboo Ba after. Different type of place from La Sal but more well-mannered and gracious staffs and barman. Treat us with respect and high regard. We had so much fun at Bamboo Ba, that we were able to forget the disheartening malicious comment we heard. from La Sal. I never confronted the staff as I dont want to lose my temper. I already wrote an email to the management and I must write a review here to give warning to other ladies who plans to visit La Sal, you better not.More

We were a party of 4 ladies whom initially went there just for the drinks as a couple of us had been there for drinks and said that it was great. We decided to have dinner there too as it was our last night at...Langkawi and thought to splurge a little. The location and ambience is great however the food had no flavour plus very small portions and not a good value for the money! We had the slow baked salmon (no seasoning), cod (not fresh and tasteless), ikan panggang (not fresh and unauthentic), soft shell crab (not fresh, fried in old reused oil), butternut pumpkin and sweet potato soup (bruschetta was good, but the soup was way too sweet). We all ordered different cocktails and tried each others but were utterly disappointed, especially with their Margarita and Bellinis. When my friend tried to provide feedback to the waiter just before we left of our experience, we were told that they catered for European taste buds. Gee thanks. I for one will not be returning any time soon.More

Definitely make a reservation before you come for dinner, due to the limited tables available. Located on a quiet part of Cenang beach, with beautiful views of the sunset. Drinks are reasonably priced, with good selection available. Food was definitely the highlight here. A bit...on the pricey side, but worth the quality and taste of the food they served. Amazing ambiance in a nice hotel with great service. Overall an enjoyable experience. Note: I was lucky to have been there on a great clear day to watch the sunset. cloudy days might dim the experience.More
