This is a very local little town with no more than 700 inhabitants. This little hotel restaurant was a great place for us to stop by and have a lunch after our bike ride from Plasencia. Though the service wasn't that of a top restaurant,...but we found the barman very helpful despite our language barrier.
Though there isn't much choice on the menu but we really enjoyed the beef cheeks that we ordered. It's the first time we've had them simply pan fried and not slow cooked. It was juicy and tender.
Our overall experience was quite good.More
I had the menu del dia and you cannot complain about two courses and wine for €10. However, the woman who runs the place is so unsmiling and unfriendly it is almost funny. Almost.
She brings the main course when it's ready - never mind...if you are still eating your starter. At the end of the meal she simply ignores you until you go away. No bill presented, let alone a goodbye.
I ate here a few years ago and it is unchanged. How is it still in business? The only restaurant in town. Tomorrow I will cook for myself.More
The restaurant is open on even days, or odd days. You never know. When it is open, various men from the village are drinking their drinks on the terrace and the waiter watched it. Ok, if you ask, you will get a drink too. Without...a snack, without a tapa, without a word.
You want to eat? During lunchtime when "Mum" is there, it is possible. Don't expect too much in the evening. Probably you can eat, probably not. The waiter does nothing to offer you anything. Probably he is financially independent. I don't think so.More
