7 of us visited from 83 years old to 2 and a half year old and we had a lovely visit. We strolled around the gardens and came back to the Woodland bistro for coffees cake and chicken vol au vents. Catherine was very friendly...and looked after us very well. our order was served promptly and was really lovely. We got tea and coffee top up’s complimentary too. It was a lovely relaxed venue and I could recommend for all age groups.More

Went to the cafe for breakfast and it was all change from last visit. Looks more spacious inside but very disapointed with menu no more specials board limited selection on menu. Had breakfast which was ok not the best ive had there. Had too ask...for toast which arrived when we had finished which was a waste of time. The fried eggs were hard which was unusual normaly they are nice and soft yolks. To finish the staff didnt seem as friendly and talkative as usual hardly a word said or a smile from them. Well there are more cafes localy that im sure will provide a better service.More

We popped in here for lunch and had really lovely vegetable soup with thick slices of homemade soda bread, followed by coffee and cake. It was all lovely although I thought the cakes could have benefitted from some icing in the middle as well as...on top. I'd definitely go back though!More

This walled garden is a jewel. Free entry to the gardens which are really beautiful. There is a butterfly hunt for kids and the adults can buy plants here (we bought some strawberry plants and are still reaping the fruit in October). The restaurant is...great - super service and good food. Had lunch here last month - some delicious scampi which was tasty and reasonable. Saturday morning they have a Parkrun at 09.30 through the grounds which was a large wooded area and very pretty. A must see if you are in Kilrush.More

What a lovely garden with so many walks so peaceful. The walled garden is beautiful and planted of its time. There are lovely areas to sit and take time to enjoy the nature. Well worth a visit. The coffee shop is hit and miss, it’s...as if they are annoyed by customers. The history displays are very informative and the shop is nice and the staff are very welcoming.More

These gardens are well worth a visit, there is a cafe onsite, and both parking, and entrance are free, also you can buy from their gift shop many of the plants you see around the gardens the attached woods are popular with dog walkers.

These walled gardens are particularly fun. There's a lovely cafe and we happened to arrive on a day with a children's festival with balloons and a magic show. Fun for our littles. The gardens are well maintained and groomed. Trails are nearby for walking. A...very nice day trip.More

Located in the courtyard before entering the gardens this cafe offers cakes, drinks and much more. We had a drink and cake at a very reasonable price and service with a smile and really enjoyed it. Go to the gardens as well. They are free...to go in and there is also a huge array of plants for sale at great prices.More
