It's not as nice as it used to be. Not a lot of animals as before. Food was mediocre and service was lousy.

Unfortunately management/ownership made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. We popped in for coffee and cake but despite the lovely view and cute animals, were quite eager to leave. This may be due to management loudly encouraging staff to push us to get the bill...More
The Cafe offers standard, run of the mill type options. The service was bad and no one really bothers to attend to you or to follow up. Servers are generally confused about who ordered what! Double Espresso was average, kiddies milkshake was better, scone etc....More
Cafe is easy to find off the highway, through Howick and on the Karkloof road. The entrance is on dirt but parking is plentiful and it is fairly easy to find shade. The venue is ideal for families as there are some animals to see...More
Lovely spot in a beautiful old home with magnificent view of the falls. Had a delicious, thick and creamy milkshake - the setting made it extra special.
A booking was made and we were seated on the verandah. We asked if we could move into the garden as it was such a lovely day - no trouble at all. Food was ordered with some orders from the set menu and done from...More
We stopped at Yellowwood Cafe after swimming the Midmar Mile and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Awesome selection (even vegan options), beautiful setting under the trees, petting zoo and chilled vibe
What a little gem just on the outskirts of Howick. We have a quick stop at Yellowood for tea and scones and it really was a lovely experience. We sat in the garden and watched birds while we drank tea and ate the freshest scones...More
A Very disappointing chicken salad for lunch today. Was tasteless. Only one kind of lettuce used - and most of it was 'white.' Not one herb in the salad and no special salad dressing. Just olive oil and balsamic.
Bad customer service, mediocre food, dirty unkept toilets. Overall bad management. This place is destined to fail if not turned around urgently. The animals were ok to look at, but they didn't provide animal feed for children to feed them.
