Great for my dad 91 years old, he could easily get up the short ramp to the table and the noise level was well tolerated for him.
Exceptionally clean with lots of staff.
Pizza was excellent and well priced I would buy it again. Very thin crust!
Seafood dishes are pricey so I ordered the seafood pasta. It had good flavour but looked like prepackaged frozen seafood was tossed in.
Lasagna was very cheesy and the smoked brisket was good.
Skip dessert and have another drink instead!
A good South African experience of a local family run business. Well done for creating a solid dining experience in the area with a lack of other options to choose from. 🙌
When tipping you must write the amount on the bill or it won’t be added to the total.
We are used to tipping more which doesn’t show as an option to choose on the stub, apparently you can ask to add a higher tip if you like.

Nope in our seafood we do not use the prepackaged seafood mix we do make our own mix on site. But yes, it would be great to be able to only use fresh Agreed 100% with you. Recommended by our hotelier and I would say that it did not disappoint us.
A blast from the past complete with songs by Eros Ramazzotti, Rich and Poor, Toto Cotugno from the 70s/80s/90s, a delight!!!
Oysters, prawn salad, seafood risotto, bottle of white wine, water, coffee, everything delicious, exceptional quality, even more so, what can I say, I feel great!!!!!😜

An amazing night out. The food, service and ambience was excellent. A real family affair, Gavin is hands on in the kitchen, his lovely wife ablely controls front of house, and we had the pleasure of been served by his elder son, who gave us great service and advice when it came to food choices.
Best to book to avoid disappointment.

Visited this restaurant tonight, excellent service and friendly staff, 2 of us had the queens prawns as a main course they are the best prawns I have ever tasted they were in a peri peri sauce. My friend had them in a lemon and garlic sauce they were equally delicious , my husband had the lemon sole which was fab and the pork dish was great too.
If your in the area definitely recommend you visit this restaurant. Excellent food , service and value for money.

While on a Garden Route Tour, my group and I decided to stop here for dinner. We were immediately welcomed and served by Elizabeth, the owner. She took great care of us and paid close attention to my friend's dietary restrictions, offering suggestions and modifications to a lot of dishes (which immediately showed us that everything was made fresh to order). Following her recommendation, I ordered the smoked brisket pasta. At first I was skeptical but this dish was incredible! The brisket was very tender and the sauce was flavorful which complimented the pasta nicely. I told Elizabeth that I loved it and she invited me to come see one of her chefs pulling the brisket out of the smoker. The meat was so juicy and tender looking, seemingly falling off of the bone from how tender it was from smoking for hours. It is evident that Elizabeth puts a lot of love and passion into her food. This would be my first stop back in Agulhas if I returned.

We were greeted very cordially and given a copy of the menu. We then decided to make a reservation for dinner.
Well furnished and clean. We ordered two fish dishes with cooked vegetables cooked on a wood oven.
Very good. Normal prices.

Everything was great in what is probably the southernmost pizzeria in Africa, but the wow factor was missing. So only 4 stars because nothing was exceptionally good. The side salad for the starter was big and good, but you had to add oil and vinegar and season it yourself (no problem). The pizza was OK. Tends to have a lot of black crust, but there was nothing wrong with the taste. Even though we were full, we ordered an apple crumble and an apple pie calzone for dessert. Both desserts were big and delicious!

Gavin's is a family-friendly, Italian restaurant offering great meals at reasonable prices. Service is friendly and efficient. I have eaten here several times and find the food even better than some city restaurants.

What do you want when you go out to eat?

Visited this wonderful restaurant on a week end break away. From the welcoming greeting when you walk in the door to the exception -nothing is to much to ask - service, we wanted to come back a second night. The food is cooked by a chef and kitchen who love creating amazing food, I highly recommend a visit to Gavin’s Trattoria!!

We ate at Gavins Trattoria through a recommendation of Sheryl at L'Agulhas Ocean House. We both had the Seafood Platter with the Calamari Steak which was so tender and delicious. I asked to substitute pasta for potatoes, no problem. Sign of a great flexible restaurant. Would definitely recommend this Trattoria.

We came to Agulhas to see the southern tip of Africa. We were not expecting great food, but how wrong we were! We arrived at an empty (and big) restaurant and were asked if we had a reservation. By the time we left we understood why, as it was virtually full. The food was excellent, especially the fish. Service was good and prices were very keen. Overall a great experience.

The best pizzas at the most southern point of Africs. We did'nt made a booking and when we arrived the place was full, but the owner made a plan and within 5 minutes we had a table. This is a family run business. Our waiter, their daughter was very good and we did not wait at all for service. She was very friendly and came past a couple of times during the evening to make sure that we were okay. The food was excellent, although we only had pizza, but pasta, fish and meat dishes are available. I would recommend this restaurant to evryboby who would love to have a nice dinner in Agaulhas.

It all looked good, nice welcome, wine - delicious bread delivered to the table.
We ordered as antipasti the seafood platter for two, steak & pizza. After one hour and 10 mins wait and no food being delivered, we decided it’s enough and left
They didn’t charge us for the wine - thx - but stole our time. Very disappointing. In fairness, the other guests looked happy.
