Lovely restaurant, atmosphere amd setting. 3 of our family members ordered the Yellow Tail line fish which tasted amazing. But...within half an hour all 3 of us had a running stomach and felt ill. Not great experience at all. Orderd sushi for 2 and a pizza for 1. Waiter did not place the complete sushi order and they needed to add to order. The pulled pork pitza was aweful. No flavour. The cheese tasted wierd not like real cheese....The pitza wasn't warm when it got to the table. Ordered a crab salad and that was horrible. Even though there is tons of mayo the crab was hard and dry. My friends daughter who's 15 makes a better crabbsalad with tons of flavour. When we got the bill, the waiter did not share with us that only selected sushi on the menu was discounted so we paid full price for our meal which was not great at all. Our order was not complicated but the food was not great at all. I doubt we will be back. Too many reviews about poor service and cold, tasteless food.More
This was a go to but now the tables are empty. Bring back porkbelly. No standard on cooking, nothing tastes te same twice in a row. tastes the same twice. Extremely noisy on the inside an big tables are not asked to consider others.
It's clear to see the standards and level of service have slipped. We arrived after 6pm on a Friday evening and the restaurant felt eirely quite. Not many diners and very basic decor. This used to be a fine establishment which was always packed with...a great vibe now there is no ambience or atmosphere. The restaurant is not very welcoming and service pretty shocking. The waiter was quick to seat us but more interested in serving his bigger tables (obviously bigger paying tips than our couple table). Needless to say our second round of drinks was brought in filthy glasses that looked like they had just been rinsed under the tap, the glasses were still wet on the outside. We were left unattended after our first round of drinks. Two waiters serving the whole restaurant We will definitely not be returning or recommending Bon Amis to family or friends. Good family destination. This wine farm has plenty to do for the whole family. There are 3 restaurants, outdoor eating areas, MTB track, kids bicycle track, wine tasting and more.
Nice setting but the food could not make up for it.. Service was below average and no cappuccino after dinner?
Mixed feelings - noisy venue with no acoustics - cold coffee sent back , warm coffee returned , gave up asking for HOT coffee. Focaccia bread was so dry and unappetizing I sent it back without even trying it. Chicken liver starter was lumpy mash..., no toast , with weak flavor and so forgettable - pizza with so little cheese or tomato on it as a base ..... probably won’t be back because there are other places with better food... my wife licked the pizza , kids ordered the pasta but it too was so very average.. expected more..More
My husband and I went there for lunch on a Friday afternoon. It was a rainy day, but we were greeted with a warm welcome and a cosy fireplace. I am a big meat eater, but upon recommendation from the fabulous waiter and manager, I...ordered the Potato Gnocci with cauli puree and oyster mushrooms. OMG! It was packed with delicious, gourmet flavours, I did not even miss meat! My hubby ordered the beef burger, which was a generous portion, complete with sesame (toasted) bun, guacamole and crispy oven chips! We still wanted to have some carrot cake for desert, but were soooo ful and satisfied, that, now in hindsight, I regret not taking a takeaway for later! Superb team and good service and food!!! What an awesome time we had at Bon Am is on 29th February. We booked on the kiddies patio but seen as the weather was great we asked to be moved outside. They quickly checked their bookings and were happy to oblige. The food was...top class and the waiter was amazing. The kids play area is just stunning. Thank you for an amazing experience, our 1st time and it will definitely not be our last.More
Waiter’s unfriendly, unprofessional, poor attitude, rude and need training. It is a pitty the food is good but I will not recommend it due to the staff.

Have been there a couple of times.Food good service not so much.Today was the final time.We arrived at 1030 for breakfast and staff made us feel that they were doing us a favour by allowing us to eat so late.We decided to walk out and...went to Nitida instead.Great food great service.More

This place doesn’t deserve the 3 star rating and negative reviews. Venue is great for families with young kids of all ages and the food was good. Lexington gave us good service. Better than others in the area we’ve visited.
This is one lovely place to be. tick will tick all your fancy. lovely atmosphere, frequented by lovely people who love life, outgoing and that enjoy good company

Exceptionally slow service - half an hour before a waiter appeared to take our drinks order; half an hour later we were told they didn't have stock. Really? What bar doesn't have the ingredients to make a long island iced tea? Ostrich carpaccio was served...warm and tasteless. Pizza bases had the taste and texture of pie crust. The calamari was well made but the "tartar" sauce was more like liquidised coleslaw. The waiter unfortunately bore the brunt of our disappointment but the fault is clearly in the kitchen, bar and, mostly, management. They will not see me again.More
