Although the setting is quite beautifull, the service and food/drink offerings are not up to par. Even after experiencing huge delays in our orders coming to the table, not once did the manager on duty visit us. The only place where a non smoker can...sit without inhaling other diner's smoke, is inside. This while children are exposed to inhaling their smoke outside constantly while playing in between tables. We waited very very long for our drinks order to arrive. The waitress did not have much knowledge about the menu and after asking the kitchen staff, were still unable to answer our questions regarding items on the menu. After about 25/30 minutes after placing our food order, the waitress informed us that a mistake slipped in and the kitchen never received our order........ We were promised the food orders would now arrive within 5 minutes. We then decided to wait slightly longer and tried to order more drinks which also took forever to arrive. Many of the food items we received were really tasteless and or rushed to get to the table. This resulted in the dining experience not being that great. Some of the guests in our party who have been regulars made a statement to the rest of us that they would never return to this restaurant/beer garden.More

Live music some days check their Facebook page. It must be amazing when they have music in the garden from a rusty old Ford platform. Poppers are different with bacon in. We had a miss piggy and a chicken that crossed the road burger. Food...was good if you like sweet sugary meat. I'm unfortunately not a fan. Onions rings were good. They even have a breakfast of waffel, burger patty and ice cream. I don't know if I will return maybe for a drink only. Loved the touch of sunflower sprouts for a fresh touch. Despite calling ahead and asking if it would be necessary to reserve a table for 17h30 and being told no, we stood around for about 5 minutes on arrival waiting for a staff member to pay us any attention as almost all of the tables...were reserved! This meant we had to take a table in the full sun. They did move it into the shade for us, but had we been told to reserve we could have had a better table. The waitress was either new to the job or just not so interested in her job. She waited for us to choose drinks and then told us one after the other was not available. She also did not know the alcohol content of the beers when asked. Why don't establishments just print that information on the menu? She just said she doesn't know, and stood there until we suggested so she go and find out, which she did. After the meal, we eventually had to get up and go inside to ask to pay our bill as the waitress was nowhere to be seen for a long time. Granted, it is quite a large outdoor area with a lot of space to be covered by the waiting staff, and I imagine they do many miles in a day, but they know that and should make a plan to ensure guests are served properly. Went to this restaurant for a birthday lunch.Great food and piping hot and excellent presentation and big servings.Decently priced for the good quality.Fast and friendly service and sat outside in the garden area.All Covid protocols adhered to and tables are set well apart.Had the fish...and chips and nachos.Niece had the Chicken wrap.Good solid food and worth the value.More

We ordered the ribs (comes with chips and a salad) and the wild mushroom pasta and were amazed at the size of both. The pasta was the biggest bowl of pasta that we had ever seen in a restaurant and while the ribs said 600g...I am pretty sure there was more than that. Both meals were delicious. The service was friendly and efficient with the manager popping around to check on us too. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended.More

I had a dinner catch up with a friend of mine - she had the tagliatelle pasta & i had the 3 cheese nachos. Food was excellent & the portions huge. Will definitely go back.

Ordered main meals, pork belly and a smoked sirloin,, wasn't great and NO Veggies or Chips or onion rings! Overpriced and definitely not worth the money.

Planned a evening with the intention of having dinner here. It’s 20:41 and website closing time is 23:00. Manager tells me they closed on behalf of them being quite? Sorry but from someone coming from the same industry this is unexceptable.

Me and my mom recently visited the Rusty Oak Bistro and to say we were impressed is an understatement. I had the Chicken Schnitzel and my mom had their Spaghetti and meatballs, we really did enjoy ourselves and we're coming back this coming Saturday 😊😅...we've found our new favorite restaurant.More

Beautiful seating outside under the oaks. Food portions were a good size and very enjoyable. Mostly enjoyed the Eisbein and hake, the duck was not for me. However the chef never wanted to make a simple change to the meal. We wanted to exchange the...starch (chips) for Vegetables and only after our poor waitress had begged and pleaded with him, did he make the change. Secondly as soon as our plates were cleared the waitress brought us the bill, without offering us dessert/ coffee. We landed up ordering dessert a delicious baked cheese cake topped with salted caramel popcorn, which I would recommend.More

We had 2 unhappy visits to Rusty Oaks. The 1st was about 2 months ago. They were on the Entertainer App, and when we got there, we were told they were not on it anymore. Last month we went there again, there was a number...of the items on the menu they did not have.More

Lovely atmosphere and warm and cozy in winter with the indoor fireplace. The waiters are attentive. We brought our own wine and the corkage was very reasonable. We had a table of 7 and not one of us could say anything wrong about the food....The pork belly was the biggest portion I have ever seen, the meat was succulent and the crackling crispy. The smoked sirloin I had to try as i had never come across it before, so tasty. All and all a wonderful day out.More
