We have been eating here for 10 years and again the food was fantastic, the service spot-on and of course good wine from the farm. Thanks to the chef for consistently producing awesome dishes and the staff (who have been there forever) for their attentive...service.More

This was our first time to this venue and the experience was brilliant - consistent with the previous reviews. The service was excellent: professional and friendly. From the moment you walked in you felt welcome. Our waitress, Dudu, was excellent and the each member of...staff that engaged with other made it special. The food was superb : we tried the various tapas options on the menu : each was delicious but what stood out were the following: - Fish tacos - crispy calamari/squid - bao bun - sweet potato On the dessert options, I would highly recommend the cinnamon churros. The wine options are vast and cater for everyone’s taste. We thoroughly enjoyed the Private Collection.More

As a family we decided to head out to the Durbanville wine route for lunch. We booked at the Farmhouse Eatery at Diemersdal wine estate. What a real delight. I like it when I can have tapas style food as then you a get a...nice variation of food and an overall gastronomic experience. The menu consists of The Chef’s Choice Tapas which is a selection of dishes he creates specially for this part of the menu, a full tapas menu a mains menu and of course a dessert menu . The gents in our party decided on the mains and us ladies opted to choose a selection of 3 tapas each and share so we experience the amazing selection of dishes. The meal did not disappoint at all. The service was excellent, the tapas portions were extremely generous and the location was just lovely.More

We go to Diemersdal Farm eatery every year and it is so consistent. Fixed menu, plate sharing, tapas type of experience but so different and excellent. Diemersdal wines are exceptional and very reasonable. I can highly recommend a visit.

I booked for the Restaurant week dinner. It was tapas, 6 courses and added to that lovely breads and incredible pudding to finish off the evening, with an espresso. Firstly, excellent service. Friendly, informative, always checking in. Thanks Dido. Then, kudus to the chef, a...lot of effort went into the meals, the flavours and quality of ingredients were top class, with creative artistic plating. A culinary senses overflow. Of course, Diemersdal makes some fine wine. I tasted their signature red and their Shiraz. Both highly recommended. Well done Diemersdal! You fully deserve your listing in the restaurant week.More

More than met expectations. It was a cold day, and knowing that the restaurant is housed in a converted barn, we dressed warmly. Absolutely no need, very cosy and warm inside. The welcome was friendly, and our waiter was attentive but not in your face...as it were. Whilst the line fish was not available, the steaks we ordered were really good. As the food was being delivered, we were told “be careful the plates are hot” which is always a good sign. We look forward to our next visit.More

The Diemersdal Farm Eatery team made my birthday dinner a very special and memorable experience. From the moment we walked in we were treated like royalty. From the special little card on the table to the complimentary glass of special late harvest - which was...delicious - every little detail and morsel was divine! The food was so good! The steaks perfectly done and the churros was fantastic. The décor is so beautiful and the ambience so peaceful. Thank you for the amazing and unforgettable evening!More

….Our long time planned visit has final-lii come to fruition when arrived at this incredible-lii neat restaurant situated on the Diemersdal Wine Estate with is beautiful lush green running lawns and impressive snow white Cape Dutch buildings. Even the drive in is impressive with all...the rose bushes in full bloom all along the side of the road bordering the vine-yards. The restaurant building was once a stable now its rustic look and cool decor makes it a thrift comfortable place to sit down and enjoy well set-out bistro type meals served in Tapas-style meals that can be shared by two people or just enjoyed by one. Outside seating is also available but current-lii they are upgrading the outside so most-lii only inside seating for now. A nice leather covered bound menu with about 8 pages and even a “kiddies-menu” on the last page. We were welcomed by very polite and friend-lii staff members and our waitress for the afternoon was “FLO” who served us delightful-lii well and was on point. They kick-start you by serving you 2 types of bread a Moss-bolletjie & a Stick-roll very intriguing-lii tasty and unique with a cream-ii garlic dip. We ordered a bottle of “DIEMERSDAL - PRIVATE COLLECTION 2019” @ R 260 per bottle. Which went down well and set the palate on fire and complemented our meals well. Our mains: - 1 x GRILLED LAMB PRESSE’, green beans, waterblommetjies, barley, jus, young peas @ R 130 per serving. 1 x TIKKA MASALA ESPUMA, Prawns, steamed Mozambican Crab, claw, sherry gel, poppadum, pak choi @ R 150 per serving. 2 x CRISPY FRIED PATAGONIA SQUID, bonita mayo, spicy-lime dressing & young reddish @ R 130 per serving. 1 x 250g CHALMAR BEEF SIRLOIN served with triple cooked chips, fried onions, parmesan green salad and a choice of Béarnaise or Chimichurri @ R 230 per serving. All our meals were professional-lii presented and extreme-lii delicious and very scrumptious. After the feast we had just indulged in we only had place to order one dessert which we shared and cappuccinos. Dessert: - 1 x Selection of “DARK CHOCOLATE BON-BONS” six in total with each one having a different flavoured filling. Mmmmmm-h soo delectable it exceeded our expectations. (when the close box arrives at the table it’s kinda sinister you wait with anticipation for the box of Bon-Bons to be opened to reveal the delectable yum-mii dessert) We had an enjoyable winter’s afternoon here well spent. A plus was the fact that “RUDY” the owner came by a few times just to check if we were happy and satisfied. We will visit here again soon that’s for sure and we recommend that everyone must at least visit here once in a life time. They have one neat, clean “uni-sex” toilet at the end of the building. The estate is so big and beautiful that one can just wonder around after a meal and take in the picturesque scenic views with a dam near by and sheep grazing on the other side. NB! There is a “WINE TASTING ROOM” right opposite the restaurant……More

I can just say that it was a very beautiful evening and a treat. I booked for the restaurant week special for myself only while it is supposed to be a tapas shared menu. I was thinking that they would just do less dishes for...me, as I was on my own, but no... I had the full experience, with just smaller portion. It was advertised as a three course menu, but each course was made of 2 plates, which actually became a 6 dishes menu. From the start to the end, the plates were nicely prepared, very tasty with nice combination of flavors and delicate... The service was very professional, with waiters knowing exactly what was on the plates. Very, very nice experience...More

Diemersdal have created a really great restaurant to supplement their wine tasting. It has been created from stables in a simple yet ideal way. They have a fixed 4 course tasting menu that is just so different, blending flavours and textures that make you smile....Clever chef, excellent staff and a real pleasure to enjoy the experience.
