Whimsical interior and soothing background music and a friendly welcome immediately lift the spirit. Attentive friendly service. Affordable and tasty wine by the glass options and a delicious CBC Pale Ale. The platter for 1 can almost feed two, so come hungry, you would not...want to leave a morsel of this platter on the plate. I had half half chips and mixed veg. Flat fat chips golden crispy and the best mixed veg ever, especially when slathered with the leftover creamy mussel pot sauce. I upgraded the hake for the line fish of the day which was yellowtail with an unusual fennel and mustard sauce. Delicious. Also Prawns and calamari on the plate. Highly recommended.More

Most a beautiful view. I enjoyed the French Toast, the bagel breakfast is good, and the Marmalade is excellent. The coffee deserves five stars.

We went there for breakfast and ordered an omelette and a banting breakfast. They were both really good. The service was excellent and the view is fantastic. Both the owner and waitress came by often to make sure we were happy. Will definitely go there...again. The lunch menu looks good also.More

A very disappointing lunch after a much-anticipated return visit! Our lunch for a table of 4 was very average. My calamari main meal arrived undercooked and I was really impressed with the manager’s super quick replacement meal and offer of no charge. Service was good....View of the sea is great! Great location.More

Excellent food and service even beyond that - handled our fairly demanding group with apparent ease - orders served together and without a fault. The menu spoils you with delicious choices - "different" than the usual you get at other places. Best in the West!!!!

It was our first night in Paternoster in nearly nine years. Famished after a reasonably tiring drive from Worcester, we let our combined intuition guide us into the seemingly unimpressive appearance of the Blue Benguela Restaurant. I'll say this, your gut knows best. We were...delightfully surprised by the overall experience: the food (yum!); The atmosphere (divine!); The dessert (heavenly!); The host...one of a kind! When we find ourselves in the West Coast shoreline again our trip will be incomplete without your deconstructed chocolate brownie dessert! Well done Blue Benguela!More
