Fabulous, Boho restaurant with flavours to match. Service is friendly and informal (Debbie, Peter, Gustav,Chrystel and the rest of the team always bring a smile and a bit of chatter). Very informative regarding the menu. Being at the Noisey Oyster, you just have to have...some oysters, with lemon & tabasco, smoked worchestershire sauce or grilled (not tried that one yet). Starters are an electic mix of fish and flavour thumping dishes; vegen and non vegan will find somethig to delight. Whatever you do, make sure one of the starters on the table is Pani Puri. We alway include this. All are good but we particularly like the loaded humus, fish croquettes and the vegan tartar. For the mains we can recommend the Chalmar Pepper Steak (the best steak I have had for a long time) with a beautiful brandy pepper sauce and topped interestingly with some whole grain mustard that works perfectly, Hake Veloute which must be good as it is my wife's go to dish. Also very flavoursome is the Lebonese Coarse Ground Spiced Lamb served with pita bread and shaved cabage (I love this & recommend highly if you like mediteraine flavours). Also very tasty are the Mushroom and Pea Coconut curry and the Vegan Tamale Bowl (both of which we know from previous visits). I am not really into deserts, so this time we shared the rooibus infused figs with blue cheese wrapped in smoked springbok which I liked very much but for those with a sweet tooth I would recommend something else. The Affogato and the lemon cheesecake were well received. TMore

Fantastic. Best meal we had in Paternoster. Debbie, great owner, was super responsive when we booked, and a great host on the evening. Fantastic service. Food was sublime, wines perfect, and our evening was really enhanced by our waiter, Peter…who was such fun, professional, and...probably the most pleasant server we have had during our fortnight in SA. What a difference it makes when you have a great server DO NOT MISS OUT ON THE NOSIY OYSTER- Best Restaurant in Paternoster.More

Really enjoyed our lunch at Noisy Oyster. The decor is informal and slightly off-beat in a good way. Interesting. The staff is pleasant, attentive and helpful. Service times were just right, not too slow or too fast. We started with some delicious oysters, would be...churlish not to, given the name of the restaurant. We also had some hummus spread on a crispy bread and baby calamari with a pesto dressing, capers and croutons. The calamari were incredibly soft and the dressing surprisingly tasty. Then we followed with a platter which had a Middle Eastern-inspired lamb mince and a mound of fresh salad on a pitta, again really tasty. The other main dish was a lovely bream cooked with charcoaled leeks, spinach and roasted oranges. Strange combination but it worked very well. The fish was cooked perfectly. In the end we shared a lemon cheesecake topped with salted caramel sauce. All washed down with a Neil Ellis Sav Blanc. Everything was flawless. Loved it and highly recommend this restaurant. Great job Debbie!More

This place - wow ♥️. We went here for dinner before Xmas while visiting Paternoster. The food, the wine, the friendly service, the decor - everything about it was wonderful. The food is so fresh - we ate mainly fish and it was scrumptious. We...shared a chocolate desert which was to die for! Wish we had a place like this in the UK. Thank you so much.More

Having researched the eateries in Paternoster, we chose TNO for our first evening, and booked ahead (essential at a weekend). Warm, welcoming, and a delightful hostess made for a good start. A lovely, simple, yet adequate menu - matched wine list, all fairly priced gave...us great choice. Our starter arrived in record time, and we then were asked if we wanted a breather before mains, a nice touch in a very busy eatery! Our mains, when served on our schedule, we're superb. In all, a lovely evening in a restaurant with a great atmosphere.More
