Fireside dining, great food, lovely wine and friendly service. You always feel welcome at the noisy oyster, and all the above are great reasons to visit again and again

There is no better place in Paternoster to dine. The food is brilliant, ambiance magic, service was on its game and having eaten at most of the restaurants in Paternoster. We can definitely say the Noisy Oyster is the best

What an amazing restaurant experience. Pieter’s service was fantastic. Wonderful atmosphere and the 30 seconds cards on the tablet were a hit! We had Oysters, pork belly, mussel pot and fish cakes fish cakes, all sublime. An exceptional cappuccino to finish it off.

Had a great evening here reconnecting with friends. The interior of the restaurant is charming and quite intimate. The service was attentive and we all enjoyed our food. I had the pork belly, which was fab. Would visit again.

What a gem. I was here years ago and it hasn’t lost any of its charm. Such a quaint setting, great vibe, good service and lovely menu. The seafood laksa is a must!

Loved everything that we ate at this upbeat casual restaurant in the centre of Paternoster. Needless to say the oysters were particularly delicious and great value. We had an assortment of tapas recommended by our wonderful waiter and each was excellent. The decor and service...was fun and made the lunch extra memorable.More

Wow!!! We are totally bowled over by the quality, freshness, and flavours of the food! We had amazing oysters, grilled oysters, steak, aji amarillo mussles and the veggie tartare (one of the best vegan dishes we’ve ever had)! Then there is the lovely staff and...really cool vibe of the place! We’d come to Paternoster only to go to the Noisy Oyster! Happily there are numerous other reasons to come back! 🤩More

We made a booking in advance and on the day received a reminder message from the restaurant : very efficient. The food was great : some of the best we have had in SA. The service was also good : our waitress was attentive but...not overbearing. Highly recommended .... and remember to book in advance as the restaurants in Paternoster seem to get booked up quickly.More

We tried to get a booking for Saturday night in paternoster and couldn’t. Noisy Ouster could take us for lunch. It’s funky and cute and then the food arrives - it’s high end. Interesting and tasty and beautiful

Everything we had hoped for and more. Delicious food. The oysters were magnificent! Served by friendly,upbeat and helpful staff. The decor and setting is creative and entertaining. Great local wine selection. Top marks. A must if you are staying in Paternoster.

Desperately searching for an evening meal, we happened upon the Noisy Oyster and whether it was good luck or the sheer kindness of the proprietor we shall never know?! Nonetheless we were soon seated at a comfortable table in a wonderfully decorated and buzzing, sheltered...courtyard with a delightful ambience. It was almost 8pm - evidently ‘late’ in these parts- so we ordered decisively, the whole bream to share and a couple of starter plates. Every dish, while perhaps tending towards the over-complicated was well executed, of good quality ingredients treated with care and creativity and served with a graceful smile.
