Excellent fish and chip

We were staying on a holiday let nearby and having used this place before decided to have a take away. Service was friendly and food cooked to order. We had cod and chips and fish cakes, all perfectly cooked and not greasy at all. Excellent food at reasonable prices, can't ask for much more Would definitely use agin when next in the area.

Whilst the fish and chips are excellent, I purchased 2 pots of Heinz tomato ketchup that were on the counter for 60p each. It was dark and there was a long queue. So I didn't check the date. When I got home and looked at the dates, The promotion dates were 23.8.2020. BBD was 23.6.2021. my purchase date was 15.1.2022. 7 months past their best before. My other concern is what else would be out of date that you can't check

Excellent Chippy.

We popped in for a quick takeaway on a Friday Eve. Spoilt for choice with a varied selection of Fish, Pies, Homemade fishcakes, Burgers etc. We decided to go with the Homemade fishcakes, cod and chips. Absolutely delicious, all cooked fresh and hot. The owner Gary was so friendly and passionate about the quality of the food he sold. Definitely the best chippy around. Try him, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.

Dreadful Service

I really don't know why the owners of this business leave the young staff in charge on a busy Friday evening. I witnessed a gentleman leaving after complaining some weeks ago that his order was not correct after waiting ages for his food. This evening I telephoned to order at 7..15 and was told I could collect at 7..50. The shop was crowded when I arrived at 7.50 and after paying I waited outside. in the cold for a further 20 minutes before going in and receiving a refund for my order. When customers are placing food orders it would be helpful if they were given honest information as to when their food will be ready for collection.

Very disappointing

Very small cod with thick batter and lots of chips served in a plastic box. This for £10.40! I suppose they rely on passing tourists who will not be returning. Why will businesses not serve good quality simple food, at a reasonable price and with environmentally friendly packaging. Local customers would then return regularly

The BEST fish and chips EVER!

Amazing food and service! I was told it was good and it hasn't disappointed. The chips are crispy and not greasy at all and the fish was perfectly cooked and the batter crisp and light. We will be back next week...and every week after that! What a gem of a find. Thank you. 10/10

Fast and tasty

Rang and ordered fish and chips today for a late lunch. Spot on! Tasty and good size portion. The best thing is no skin on the fish, so you can scoff the lot. Helpful friendly staff and really pleased to find them open mid afternoon on a Friday when other takeaways are closed. I am a fish and chip aficionado so would only recommend somewhere that meets my exacting standards, Willows hits the mark.

Bit disappointing :(

Bit disappointing :( Spent £7.00 on large chips curry sauce and a coke, the chips were pretty small for a 'large' and over cooked. Once i got to work i found there was no salt and vinegar on them either :'( 1st world problems i know lol Curry sauce was decent but tiny compared to normal chippys. Service was good and happy staff but I wouldn't recommend or visit again I'm afraid.

Very good fish and chips. Take away tonight with friends. Great service take away almost on time 3 minute walk home brilliant food well done from a fellow chef. Big well donn thank you .

Fish good, chips disappointing

Ordered fish and chips, arrived just before agreed time to ensure payment on time. Served as soon as home; 1 minute drive. Fish tasty and hot, chips only luke warm and not the best.

Do not give them your business- they do not pay their bills. They owe me over £1500 for fish supplied and lie and hide to avoid paying.

Not surprised the shop was empty....over cooked fish (supposedly cod??) Dry mushy chips, all just luke warm. Live locally but won't bother again!

Inappropriate language by the young girls behind the counter

Popped in for a takeaway midweek and was a taken back by the language and behaviour of the young girls behind the counter. Swearing and shouting not only to each other but also whoever they were on the phone to, it was completely inappropriate.

Nice but small portions

Got a combination kebab and it was really tasty and delivery was efficient. The only downside is the portion is quite small for the price compared to other kebabs in the area.
