Stayed at Ngwenya. Staff very pleasant. Service slow. Food not very good. Breakfasts consistently cold for a big table and pizza very, very, very floury.

The setting is brilliant. The restaurant is on the banks of the Crocodile River. The service was good. The menu very limited, but I presume it is because off COVID-19. We had a steak. Not the best I had, but not bad as well.

Had dinner here one evening of our stay at Ngwenya. The Pizza bases were very floury and not particularly great. Menu is very limited.

Booked table was occupied on arrival and disappointed with the special Tuesday night set menu. Was served warm wine with luke warm to cold food. Stick to pizza or al la carte menu. A little TLC needed from restaurant management. Heard an employer giving an...employee a talking to in office on my the way to the ladies room. No aircon in the toilets. Phew very hot in bathrooms. Beautiful venue and staff with a quirky sense of humour.More

Had the most divine omelettes, bacon and brie pizza too! Really well priced and service was absolutely brilliant - huge thanks to Never, Milton and Waxy! Looking forward to our next trip! Fantastic to see your commitment to great food and service!

I did visit out of season, so the numbers were few - cosy and comfortable seating set up - the portions which we order were plentiful and really enjoyable on the palate. Overlooking the Crocodile River means that this memory will stay probably for life.

We decided to try the restaurant on site at Ngywena as we were staying there and after a long wait the breaded Mushrooms arrived and they were delicious, promising a good meal! Sadly we were disappointed! After a further very long wait the rest of...our meal arrived, and although it was tasty enough, somehow it just missed the spot. The waitress was lovely but new, and struggling but she was charming enough! I think had we not had to wait for such a long time, the review would have been better! I believe we just got past the stage of wanting to eat !More

We started a tradition last year of having pizza on the night we arrive at Ngwenya. The first ones were very tasty, second awful and last week were edible, but not as good as they were. Don't know what they are doing wrong. We also...went to have toasted sandwiches last week which were very tasty. Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. However, on every occasion we have been to this restaurant the service has been extremely friendly.More
