This little gem in Komatiepoort serves the best prawns and starter options in the entire area. It’s my opinion but it’s really worth a visit. M2M to accompany the prawns transports you to Maputo Stunning

Great restaurant and staff . This is good solid cooking with no airs and graces so don’t expect fine dining! Recommend that you stick with the themed dishes rather than steaks etc - they are excellent but it’s a Mozambique menu after all. Portion sizes...are on the generous side but we took leftovers home. Will be backMore

Do not expect authentic Portuguese cuisine The prawns were clean (big plus for me as I am always looking for poop shutes) and well cooked, did not stick to the shells.... but the sauce was not tasty at all. It was disappointing as I was...really looking forward to brilliant Mozambique cuisine. If you don't expect actual Portuguese cuisine, you'll probably be impressed. Calamari was tough and tastelessMore

This Mozambique restaurant was highly recommended by a South African friend and it certainly lived up to its reputation. Super fresh seafood dishes, great atmosphere and friendly service. The servings were huge. The seafood rice is to die for. Drinks were good too. Great value...for money and highly recommend if visiting Kruger/the area.More

Been frequenting this establishment for a number of years when we in the area. Our waitress was friendly and provided us with really good service, but the food was disappointing. Prawns were average, the chips soggy and the rice rather bland. One of our friends...had the seafood pasta that looked like a bowl of porridge as the pasta was so overcooked.More

Mixed review, prawns were delicious but other dishes average. Worst part was service, our server was not friendly, which is a shame because the owner was very friendly. Overall more bad than good so won’t be returning.

The best prawns we have ever had… had to come back, just to have the best chicken livers ever, followed by an amazing crab curry. Service is excellent, staff very friendly.

We make a point of visiting this establishment when we in the area. We love the prawn special, and the peri peri chicken is also very good. Friendly staff and relaxed setting.

We chose this restaurant as it was rated #1 in the area. I was not disappointed. The waitress was friendly and efficient and drinks arrived quickly. The food took quite a while to arrive but it was definitely worth the wait. It seems to be...famous for its prawns but I’d highly recommend the calamari and fish too. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.More

Nice restaurant with excellent Prawns from Mozambic. The portions are generous at affordable prices. We went twice for diner in 2 days ! The Gin and tonic are very good with very one from Limpopo ( citrus infused) . The sides ( chips or rice...or Greek salad ) are also very good .More

We managed to get back to Tambarina after 3 years, admittedly with a bit of trepidation as friends had told us they were disappointed with their visit in October 2022. They were wrong!!! It was as amazing as ever , crab, prawns, fish and trinchada...were all brilliant and the staff magnificent , especially Portia . How she managed her waitressing duties and to keep our 5 and 3 year granddaughters amused is beyond me but she did with a permanent huge smile. Her colleagues also shared her happy disposition. Delighted that our visit was the usual dining highlight of our Marloth trip. We’ll be putting our friends right when we next see them 😂More

Very nice in the Main Street in Kamatipoort near Kruger gate. Ate there years ago. Seafood and fish mostly from Mozambique , oysters from Namibia. Lots of craft gin and Mozambican beer. We had another early lunch. Just us 2 on a Friday. We both...just had Fried hake chips and vegetables. Fresh and delicious. Lovely outside. We enjoyedMore

We had to get our own menus. We got moved 3 times. Full restaurant with only 3 staff working. And after 30min they asked what we would like to drink. Not happy at all.

Unfortunately not able to advise on food as 15 minutes is the longest I am prepared to wait to be asked for drinks in a restaurant with only 3 tables occupied in 35 degree weather. Left very disappointed

Don’t think you need to book it’s not peak season. Not sure what prices will be like now. But wasn’t expensive
