While having a well-deserved break from the hectic lifestyle in Cape Town, I ended up at my brother's place in Cape St Francis for 12 days. While checking out the area I noticed Full Stop Caffe and decided to give it a try during my...visit. The only regret I have was that I did not go there sooner, Tuesdays is 25% off the entire menu, which is literally quite a menu of note. What caught my eye though was the Chef's Special...Freshly caught Kob, Mussels and a choice of either a salad or chips on the side. Well, I opted for the grilled Kob, grilled Mussels and chips. Little did I know that I was in for a treat, and the highlight of my entire visit. Just to paint the picture, I was a mystery shopper for a very large Seafood Restaurant chain in the Western Cape for just short of 15 years, so I know my stuff when it comes to doing reviews on Food. My Full Stop Story goes like this... After I placed my order I enjoyed a ice cold Craft Beer, and within not too many minutes I received my meal. Not only was the presentation good, but it was also the best, most delicious piece of fish I had ever consumed. The mussels were just as good, perfectly prepared by the Chef, J.P de Meillon. To top this off, my waitress named "Babes" was really on the ball, friendly and efficient and overall, a very pleasant person from start to finish. You have to check out this place, especially for the Tuesday 25% off the entire menu excluding the Chef's Specials. The fish, should you be lucky enough to get your timing right as I did, is fresh fresh fresh out of the sea, every time. You too will be "Totally Blown Away"...More

We ended up at Full Stop Cafe as we were looking for somewhere to have lunch out of the cold wind. We were not expecting much as after 53 years of being in St Francis Bay, we had never eaten here, but we were totally...taken by surprise. The service is great with friendly efficient staff, and the food was exceptional. There is a lovely outdoor area for social distancing, and a great little water feature that the kids loved as well as lawns and a jumping castle. The artwork displayed inside was also a nice touch.More

Although it is not on the menu ask for the calamari. They serve the same dish as the restaurant across the road and it is good and the portion is big.
