South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighbourhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighbourhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
It was a great experience watching the San Francisco giants play against the San Diego Padres as far as I remember. Even though the giants lost, the game was great and I came to make friends with a very cute old couple sitting next to me, explaining the game. It was also the first time I came to see Kiss...
When you are on foot downtown San Francisco, this is a treasure. Shady seats, sunny seats, or pull up a piece of grass if you have your blanket in your purse. I spent an hour or so strolling around. There was a stage area being set up while I was there; would be worth strolling through again.
This large center, spread over three buildings, connect by above and underground walkways can handle any size group. It is conveniently located to hotels, Union Square,
restaurants (both upscale and quick grab); public transportation and parking. The signage is very good, both in street signs pointing to the location and within the buildings themselves. The bathrooms were plentiful and clean.
Just Another Great Meal & Wines
In August, we were back in San Francisco for meetings for my wife. This has been a constant for 15 plus years, with at least once per month business trips - and sometimes more - many more. Those are winding down, as her corporate offices are moving to Chicago, so we have been doing...
What an awesome place to have lunch and visit friends. The food is so delicious and the servers and staff are outstanding. There is a wonderful story to how this place got started and you must visit to hear the incredible and inspiring story for yourself. It is located on the Embacadero and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Loved it! Lively atmosphere, buzzy, noisy and clearly great place to be. Great pizza.
Everyone seems to know Massimo (owner) who he gave me a superb welcome.and showed me the new bar next door
Will be back, hopefully less than the 28 yrs it took me to come back from last time!
"What an amazing place...feel like we are back in Rome!"

What an amazing place....we are in town for the week and discovered this delight. Authentic Roman cuisine and cheerful hospitality....what more could you ask for? With COVID, they are accessing a lovely rooftop for outdoor seating. You must do the Burrata and those Pinsas are to die for....take me back to Italy. Please support our Local businesses.
An Excellent Tasting Menu
In August, we were back in San Francisco on business, and I dined again at Mourad, 140 New Montgomery St, in San Francisco’s SoMa (South of Market Street) neighborhood. Unfortunately, I was dining solo, as my wife had a dinner meeting, though near-by, so she was able to join me later for wine.
My first visit...
"Beautiful rooms, not the best Four Seasons I've stayed at"
reviewed 29 June 2020 by Alexandra R
I've stayed at the Four Seasons SF multiple times (December 2019, January/Feb 2020) and felt I could finally write a review.
The rooms are nice. They aren't particularly charming or spectacular, but clean, spacious, modern- and the bathrooms are nice as well. Beds are SUPER comfortable.
The location is right on Market St, so not the most charming, cutest or...
This review is long awaited! I came to visit SF back in January. After asking a lot of friends and coworkers a bunch of them recommended this hotel. And I’m so happy they did from check in to check out everything was super smooth! I think the hardest part of visiting sf is people scaring you with the amount of...
Stayed in 319. Great view of Bay Bridge.. Loved our room. They aren’t the biggest rooms but very comfortable for the night. Great robes and towels.. Had a little crazy start to the stay. No ones fault but they were very gracious and compted our parking for the night..
"Five Star Deluxe Hotel, but due to location it felt like a tourist class/ convention hotel"
reviewed 2 April 2020 by christophergA8961WY
We spent 3 nights at the St Regis in San Francisco , but would not return. The hotel is 1 block away from the massive SF Convention center and was packed when we arrived with conventioneers...loud and intoxicated 2 of the 3 nights we were there. The lunch and breakfast was decent if a bit limited. The service at the...
