Locals may not know Vila Buarque by name, but they are surely aware of the neighbourhood's landmarks and uniqueness. Rua Maria Antonia is a classic college area, where students hang out in the many pubs. Nearby you will find two important cultural centres: SENAC and SESC Consolação. They offer a variety of affordable classes, plays, concerts and recreation activities. Vila Buarque is home to the Santa Casa Hospital, an important institution in the city with an amazing architecture. A few blocks away from the hospital, visitors can find karaoke bars and Santa Cecilia Church.
Minhocao is great on weekends when it is closed for traffic. It has about 3km of extension ehre you can walk, ride a bike, jog or do some skating. It's located near downtown Sao Paulo and runs in the middle of old buildings. Nowadays you can also appreciate some great graffiti and some vertical gardens, hanging on the side of...
I would say that Jardim de Napoli has the best polpetone in São Paulo, The cheese melts inside it the and the tomato sauce and meat are delicious. With pasta or salad, don't miss to try it. The original restaurant is also very close to the standard in the shopping higienopolis mall.

food was good the Egg is a good starter. the polenta might be too rich. Food is heavy. service is slow and erratic Ordered a tiramisu and the only thing that came was the spoon to eat it with. If i didn’t go back I would not feel as if im missing loads
fantastic, large and delicious dishes. extraordinary caipirinhas prepared witb special cachacas, I got one witj pasaion fruit, and it was as be near the paradise.
To start ordered acaraje, delicious.
As main course a crab moqueca ( half of a dish as we were so satisfied with the acaraje that should be impossible to eat the whole original).
1. Very clean in all areas
2. Good sized room although we would have preferred one with a big window, ours just had a tiny one into a central shaft, not sure what would happen if there was a fire....
3. Aircon was very good
4. Excellent Wi-fi
5. Bathroom drain smelled at times, mainly after heavy rain
I usually stay at Hotel Dan when I am in São Paulo. The rates are economical and the hotel is comfortable and safe. There is access to good public transportation and many fine restaurants in the neighboorhood. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is polite and courteous.
