This traditionally Malay enclave of Singapore offers an alluring array of shops, cafes, and bars. A walk down Haji Lane offers quirky shopping, while one block over, Arab Street is a treasure trove of brightly coloured fabrics, clothing, and Turkish rugs. Stop for a leisurely coffee or cocktail and watch local kids play traditional games along the lane. Also home to the Malay Heritage Centre and one of Singapore’s most prominent mosques (Sultan Mosque), Kampong Glam is a must-visit for a tantalizing taste of Malay life in this city.

reviewed 1 April 2020 by Grover R
Unfortunately, the day we chose to visit the Kampong Glam, the Malaysian District, the Mosque was closed for prayers. still we enjoyed its interesting architecture. While there are many mosque in Singapore. This is the most significant and most historic. While the building is almost 100 years old, the origin of this mosque goes back to the founding of Singapore...
Situated in Singapore's heritage district of Kampong Glam and right next to the Sultan Mosque, the Malay Heritage Centre provides excellent cultural insights into the Malay community in Singapore. The visit starts at the upper level, followed by the lower level and two external outhouses, housing permanent galleries. They showcase stories and artifacts from both Singapore's national collection as well...
"Nice gallery in Haji Lane for Japanese animation fans"
reviewed 22 July 2016 by LLoke
As a long time fan of Studio Ghibli, I was pleasantly surprised to come across the Polar Bear gallery by chance. It was a real highlight and experience to see actual hand-drawn movie prints. I would recommend this to anyone who appreciates Studio Ghibli's works.
We ordered home delivery of Turkish food owing to the lockdown and were very happy with the food quality, taste, delivery on time. The owner is very courteous and patient to help with queries and even helped to customise the meal plan and included a free desert and bread. The Chicken Pide and Mixed Grill are must try!
Cosy Lebanese restaurant serving delicious grilled lamb chops and kebabs ... being one of my early encounters with the cuisine, the food didn’t blow my mind as I had hoped but I would happily recommended it to anyone looking for a nice dinner or their first taste of middle eastern fare!
Great place to enjoy great wine and snack on delicious food. Has a great vibe to it. Guys who run 13% are very knowable about the wine and are able to guide you to choose the perfect wines to suit your palate. 🍷
Hotel was clean staff was friendly especially Daniel From front office that remember our room number without me telling as I requested for a ice bucket :) it would be good that the breakfast have more variety and also allow us to top up on the food :). But overall it was a great experience:)
Compared to most hotels in Singapore, this is on the small side, which is a plus point for me. Rooms are a fair size, and were clean. Water and coffee etc were provided. The hotel sits on the edge of the vibrant Arabic quarter which is a big plus, as there are plenty of lovely restaurants and cafes to choose...
Surprised my fiance with a staycation over at this hotel! Book the clover premier garden room and i rly love it alot!
Room is unique! bcs there is outdoor "balcony" to pass thru from hall to the bedroom. That is what interest me the most! Have no issue with the room although i must say.... THERE IS NO PLUG INSIDE...
I'm in Singapore on business and need a hotel close to the MRT EW line and the Concourse. Close to the Arab Quarter and Little India there's lots to entertain.... but... the hotel is ok but basic.. basic breakfast.. and basic comfortable rooms. No pool, gym or anywhere to relax. Would I go back... Hmm I'd probably look around first.
The location of the hotel is 5/5 really great. The problem with the hotel is the sound from neighbours in the hotel and the sound from the mosque( you should visit the mosque its beautiful). They should use some soundproofing in their rooms because the location and area around the hotel is fantastic.
