Nestled between Jongno and Samcheongdong, this small neighborhood offers a crash course in various aspects of Korean culture. Rows of shops display traditional Korean goods such as pottery and earthenware, crafts, fans, and more, making it a popular spot for souvenir shopping. The Ssamziegil shopping complex in particular has become a local institution for its unique spiral layout and the many boutique shops inside that sell handmade crafts and goods. This is the perfect neighborhood to sample a range of Korean dishes, with vegetarian Korean temple cuisine restaurants being a popular draw, but street food carts are just as famous. As a top tourist destination, crowds can swell, particularly on weekends, but you can find some rest and respite in one of the private art galleries or grab a cup of Korean tea in a tea house – many of which are located in beautifully renovated traditional Korean homes.
Super fun visit! Very easy to find especially for us non-korean tourists. Located at B1 of a duty free dept store. Really great experience, brought my seven year old son and he loved the entire place. The main part is the digestion simulation which was really fun and pretty educational, though only takes about 10min to complete. You could really...
So... I knew I wanted to take my family here (for the love of Kimchi) however, did not schedule the visit in advance. The museum is about halfway along the main Insadong street on the fourth floor of "Insadong Maru" (several interesting little shops and some restaurants in this building). The museum is on three floors - elevator service is...
Jonggak Station Solar Garden is a tiny botanical garden before the underground entrance of Jongno Tower.
Having rarely seen plants in Seoul, this is good to take a look or a break.
There are some small shops selling unique goods, too.
The atmosphere was perfect, every time I think about this place I feel super nostalgic! My family and I loved it here! Must go again, the tea was very refreshing during the hot/humid weather. Totally my style! 💚 감사합니다~
It is hiding in the side street of Insa-dong area. Focus in pork belly, it also has pork neck which is tender, crispy when grilled. You'll be served and cooked by the server. it has a variety of sauce and the server assist you in choosing the kind of sauce. Authentic environment.
We visited here for the lunch buffet on NYE. What a place and such a great walk to the area from Myeongdong. Friendly, helpful staff with perfect English. For 13,000 won we got a vast amount of vegetarian Indian food. In, fed and out in 30mins, perfect when you have so much sightseeing to do!
I was in Korea during June/July for school and ate bingsu often. One of my favorite desserts in korea! I tried other places, but have preferred the ones I had at Sulbing!
My favorite one was the mango cheese or the injeolmi one! I didn’t think I’d like the injeolmi, but it ended being one of my favorite. I didn’t...
We had a tasty lunch here. We ordered three dishes, including the cold buckwheat noodles, fried beef patty and fried dumpling with Korean rice cakes. The cold buckwheat noodles and fried beef patty were very delicious and we enjoyed them a lot. The fried dumpling with Korean rice cake was good too but it's a bit spicy. There was not...
Stayed here one night with a friend in a deluxe twin. Staff at the hotel reception were very friendly, spoke English. Room was very clean and spacious. Beds were very comfortable. We paid additional 7,000 each for the breakfast which was great value - included coffee, juice, and a choice of french toast with sausage, and bacon. Would visit again,...
We stayed here for eight nights for a family trip. The suite was very clean, well maintained, and very comfortable. The housekeeping staff is excellent. We stayed in a two-bedroom: the master bedroom had a king bed and the other was a double. Having a washer/dryer, a kitchen, and a little office nook made our stay convenient.
Location is awesome....
Good Place to stay! Very near to restaurants and 15 to 20 mins walk to Myeondong.
Its just across SM Duty Free and Running Man (also a good place to visit if u r with kids).
tried the breakfast buffet once, the essentials are there (bacon, eggs, bread and etc)
Location near many major top attractions, 5 minutes walk from bus & metro.
There is an airport shuttle bus right in front of the hotel, super convenient for those with lots of luggage.
The rooms are spacious, clean and quite newly decorated. The staff were professional and helpful.
Would recommend staying here.
I checked in really late and informed them my friend was going to join me in my stay. They gave me a random room key and then left me to my own devices. They say hello every day and goodbye every day. The rooms are cleaned every day with the exception of under the bed which is so dusty and...
