Your experience in Prague will never be complete if you do not see it from the top. Hillsides, stretched from the west to the north, provide spectacular views of greenish copper cupolas, narrow cobblestone streets, bridges connecting both river banks and green gardens from red-roof tops of centuries-old houses. Prague pulls you into its 1300 year old history. Walking up the hill or stairs to Prague Castle, the historical seat of Czech rulers and the majestic Saint Vitus Cathedral can leave you speechless (and out of breath). Luckily, plenty of terrace cafés overlooking gardens and beautiful parks are available to provide rest and a place to catch your breath again.

The "New World", as this neighbourhood is called in English, is an almost hidden quarter not far from Prague Castle, yet mostly neglected by most tourists. It has kept its rural atmosphere, displays lovely facades, parts of the huge former city walls, two charming cafés and is ideal for a walk before visting Prague Castle. Get off at Brusnice stop...

Located at the very top of a lot of stairs, you will sure be hungry by the time you reach the top!
Friendly and welcoming staff with a fantastic menu of local food made Vegan. I had the burger and my wife had the Buddha bowl, bother delicious!
Staff even recommended other vegan restaurants for us to try.
Definitely a lovely luxury place to go to when in Prague with amazing views in the heart of old town! I came here in 2018 with my mum and we loved this place. Little pricey but good to go just one time when in Prague, highly recommend! Romantic place :)
A beautifull place where you can rest in peace for a few moment during your trip through Praha.

We found this lovely little restaurant on our way back down from Putrin Hill. In fact we went here on our last visit 10 years ago. Not sure if it is the same owners but it was just as good and the beef goulash and dumplings is gorgeous! Very busy and def worth a visit if you in the castle...
I booked to stay here with my wife for our first wedding anniversary. Obviously I wanted to impress, and fortunately Golden Well Hotel did not disappoint! The hotel itself has a beautiful and cosy atmosphere, and the staff are incredibly polite and attentive. The restaurant inside the hotel was never too busy and served delicious breakfasts and dinner. The hotel...
Cozy and charming hotel in a restored classic building, very well located, within a walking distance from Charles Bridge, and many other touristic spots. The room decoration is absolutely gorgeous with all its elegance, due to the paintings, the refined decoration and classic furniture. It gives you the feeling of traveling back in time. The bed is very comfortable and...
Wonderful hotel up near the top of the hill north of the river, close to monastery and castle and a gentle walk down to the Charles bridge and old city. We felt extremely well looked after in historic and really comfortable surroundings. All possible amenities provided. Great breakfast, top class service.
Stayed here for 3 nights in a single room, the room was perfect, exceptionally clean, great amenities too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was delicious and had a good variety. The location is great, only 10 minutes walk to Charles Bridge, or there's transport stops within 5 minutes walk so very easy to get around, overall...
I used to walk by Romantik Hotel U Raka during my visits to Prague, and the year my father passed I decided to spend a little more for accommodations than I normally would pay and finally stay at what was once described to me as "typical architecture" in the Czech countryside (yes, staying at this hotel had become part of...
