If you like Klimt, Hoffmann, Schiele, Kokoschwska, Mathilde Flög and the works of the women and men who created the secession, the Leopold museum is your place. And then you can continue with the post-modern artists who follow in the footsteps of beauty in Vienea.
Stayed in the area at the Maria Theresia Hotel so this neighbourhood was on my doorstep.
Lots of quaint little smaller streets with cozy restaurants & artists shops. Good place to walk around and experience a more local feel and perhaps even a “little back in time”
We reserved tickets for Human Body expo and when i arrived i was scolded by front desk because it was 10:05 am and the program began at 10:00 am I apologized profusely and the lady said "well you needed to be here at 9:45 am - 15 minutes prior to an exhibit." I said fine and began to leave and...
This a beautiful public stairways to navigate the this Art Nouveau neighborhood. This was a time when neighborhoods had special features that made them unique and served as a public amenity. I will say the hill between the Nashmarket and our hotel was steeper than you think and this stairs is a way to navigate it.

My wife and I were in Vienna with our son who requires gluten free food. We booked a table at Zu Ebener Erde Und Erster Stock and the proprietor confirmed the menu provided gluten free food and it was a short walk from our hotel. We had a cosy table for four in the corner and the proprietor explained the...
After eating at Tian, I discovered they have a bistro. The fact that it is 5 mins walk from my hotel meant I had to try it. In fact, it was so good, I went back again two days later. I chose the chef's choice menu (vegan) which was a delicious set of plates, each with its own character. Service...
My friends and I greatly enjoyed our simple and carefree meal at Glacis Beisl. I particularly enjoyed the local beef broth soup w/veggies, which had a wonderful flavor. I also had the local pork, sauerkraut, and dumplings along with a nice beer. This is a great stop during your your walk through Vienna.
We had a perfect stay from 03-08 until 06-08-2020.
The room was supréme and the staff was overall nice and very guest focussed.
I felt like a princess. When I lost my bracelet the housekeeping found it. The Verana restaurant was sublime and the alcohol free coktails delicious.
The 20 meter swimmingpool was the top of the cake!
We stayed here for 3 nights and mostly enjoyed teh evry cnetral location of the hotel. The staff was nice and helpful when asked.

We booked this hotel 30 minutes before we arrived due to a bad air bnb. We were surprised at how charming and spacious this hotel was, in a fantastic location and good value considering we booked it SUPER short notice.
Breakfast was great (except sadly only machine coffee).
Would definitely stay here again!
