On a weekday morning, it was peaceful and quiet (the only people there were other mums with kids). The park area is huge, with hills, ponds, statues (not to mention the Oberlaa pools, with separate entry - we did not have enough time to visit them). But you could spend an entire day at the park, on a picnic. There...
Very rare to get tickets to a derby just a few days before the game but I'm very glad I did , I think it cost me about twenty euros .
The atmosphere was fantastic in the small yet very up to date stadium .
Sadly Most of this was from the Rapid fans and not the Austria Vienna fans...
This was a sudden encounter, but a very pleasant one. Pushkin, the colossus of Russian literature, in Vienna. And not in Vienna proper, on the outskirts, but still very pleasant to see that Russian cultural heritage stretches beyond the borders. would like to see more of that anywhere!
We popped in from shopping and the welcome was friendly, the coffee and wurst were excellent, the apfelstrudel less so
The clientele was eclectic but featured a lot of older rich Viennese women who took no prisoners
Recommended for people and cake watching
used the "guest garden" on a warm September day. Hearty traditional food, competent service despite an imminent wedding party. Lovely "apple wine", like cider without the bubbles, and NOT sweet. Would go again any time.
Excellent Austrian/Bahamian food, excellent service and a beautiful beer garden. The location at the entrance to the Oberlaaer Kurpark is very much necessary because if you are able to handle the XXXL size of the dishes you need a brisk walk through the park. That place is a must if you visit Vienna!
