San Lorenzo’s lively merchants shout out from behind stalls with an array of products in one of the most traditional neighborhoods in Florence. Different ethnic groups join together in the large outdoor market of San Lorenzo and in the Central Market, a vast multi-floored building. Visitors are bound to fall in love with this area and in particular, with its variety of food, especially those focusing on Florentine dishes as well as international selections. Nobody leaves San Lorenzo without a shopping bag in hand or with an empty stomach.
It is simply the best "campanile" of the world. It is beatiful, able to be unique even if close to another masterpiece as the Duomo. The geometrical structure is elegant and impressive. Don't leave florence before having seen it.

A Grand and striking mausoleum. The mausoleum with its large dome and lavish interior ornamented with marble, was built to celebrate the power of the Medici dynasty which had ruled Florence for several centuries.
When visiting Basilica di San Lorenzo I purchased a combination ticket which included the library (and saved around a euro). The library is truly something. A dramatic ascent up a short flight of stone stairs brings you into the very long library/reading room. Row upon row of unique book storage shelves/benches line the room. Original signs hang beside each row...
The burial place of all the principal members of the Medici family from Cosimo Il Vecchio to Cosimo III. Reputed to be the oldest church in Florence. Impressive. Interior columns and balcony once you steppped into the basilica.
Absolutely superb restaurant. Service top notch. Attentive, friendly waiters. Wanted a good quality pizza and we were not disappointed. Absolutely superb! Reassuring to see restaurant frequented by locals as well as several tourists.
Limited but excellent choice on wine menu. Great place to end our few days in Florence. Highly recommended! 👌
This is a rather small place with a couple of tables outside and more inside. We tried the Bistecca alla Fiorentina (steak) which was tasty. Service was ok. We were expecting more based on the reviews.
Unlike most places in Florence this restaurant is open throughout the day. The food is delicious (try the pannocotta) and the staff are incredibly caring and friendly. Defo worth visiting while in Florence.
This hotel was so good to us. We had two adjoining rooms that created a apartment type situation. The location was impeccable. Travelling with 3 small children we could see a million sights within minutes walking back to the hotel (including a day trip to Venice on the train!). The breakfasts were really wonderful and relaxing.

This is a nice, small hotel, with friendly staff. The room was very clean and comfortable. Within walking distance to the train station and the city center. Breakfast is included. I would highly recommend it.
