Florentia, as it was called by Latins, is permeated by an eternal beauty spread in all corners of the city. The historic center is characterized by the immensity of the Duomo, able to transport tourists into the brightest age of Florence: the Renaissance. Who does not know the Brunelleschi Dome, San Giovanni Baptistery and the Giotto’s Campanile? Everything is enclosed here and it would be easy to imagine the city as it was in ancient times, with maids walking in the main square and horses carrying coaches. Nowadays, roads are busy with street artists. Rustic Tuscan bakeries give way to fashion shops; just stop for a few minutes in the middle of Piazza della Repubblica to enjoy the colors and sweet melody of the carousel that will bring back great memories from anyone’s childhood.
Would always recommend a trip to the very center of Florence to see this architectural wonder. I would particularly recommend this be seen at night. This piazza is the most crowded in Florence and beware of pickpockets here.
This church and surrounding Piazza is simply amazing. The beautiful church, bell tower and baptismal building are just draw dropping. This church marked the beginning of the renaissance and it’s square and surrounding shops are just eye dazzling.
This city is really lovely and amazing. It is comfortable for walking around only with paper map in your hand.City wifi for connection is available too. All monuments are such amazing and you can see them again and again. Ice cream, coffee and pizza are everywhere. I am little bit upset on the street because so many italian people are smokers...
This is a very enjoyable place to visit. As other reviewers have noted, it is much less crowded than the Uffizi or Accademia. Of course, there isn’t nearly as much to see as at those other places, but what is there is of very good quality and historical significance.
We had visited the Bargello previously in 2014 and enjoyed it...
During our time in Florence, my wife and I had dinner at Regina Bistecca at the recommendation of our AirBnB host. Initially we couldn’t find the restaurant because the map app kept pointing at the wrong location so we gave up and headed back to the hotel. But as we made our way down the street we just so happened...
The best panini sandwich I ate in Florence . The marketing policy is remarkable. Firstly, they give you opportunity to taste different types of cheese and salami. Then they “build” it for you and all in low budget. Value for money!!!
This is a small place where there are a lot of students. We arrived around 10 on a Saturday and the only sits that were available is a bar type table with the with of the kitchen. Which. We have enjoyed.
The food was simple and really good. We had a scrambled eggs with mushrooms and salmon, which arrived quickly...
This hotel was awesome!! First you are welcomed to drinks at your leisure at the bar. They also offer free appetizers nightly at the bar.
Room was very spacious and comfortable. Lots of room for luggage. Bed was sooooo comfortable. I can’t say this enough!!! Bathroom is quite large as well.
Staff are friendly and helpful.
I will be staying...

My boyfriend and I spent 3 nights at Hotel Davanzati and couldn't have had a more enjoyable experience. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff was friendly and attentive and remained there for every question and need throughout our stay. The rooms are comfortable, modern, and clean. Happy hour is a great perk and a nice way...
The golden tower is beautiful every aspect of it is sparkling clean wonderful service and a small cozy boutique atmosphere. The morning brunch is excellent cappuccino is amazing and Fabrilo a great sommelier! It was a wonderful ambience and experience!
The rooms were amazing, as was the location. But, the service from Paolo and his staff was what made this stay truly special. The care, time and attention of our family, and especially my mom, were sincerely appreciated. Every recommendation of Paolo's was perfect, from dining to leather goods. The location could not have been more perfect. Thank you!
