From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Campo Marzio can be a bit of a sleeper after aperitivi hour (21:00), so visit by day and experience the pulse of daytime Rome.
It was raining outside so I spent more time than I originally planned admiring Chiesa di Santa Maria del Popolo, a treasure trove of stunning masterpieces by great masters. Caravaggio’s “Conversion of Saul” and “Crusifiction di San Pietro”, Cappella Cybo originally decorated by Pinturicchio, Capella della Rovere with Pinturicchio’s “Nativity” altar and lunette “Story di San Girolamo” and Francesco da...
This large, highly ornate church dates back to the 17th century and has recently undergone a major restoration. In fact, to the left of the main altar is a newly painted column that has intentionally left an area as it was prior to the restoration. The interior features massive ceilings trimmed with gold and frescoes and the individual chapels feature...
Short and sweet, the whole experience was great. Great food, great setting, incredible service. Speciality of the house are the dishes with truffles.
They were hospitable, friendly, helpful. A wine we selected was out of stock, they gave a more expensive one at the same price. At the end of dinner we got a little present. I would definitively recommand...

"Worth the queueing!"
reviewed 7 January 2020 by Masseneinwanderin
I had eaten little meat for the past 30 years and none in the past 6.5 years until - after a terrible vegan nine course New Year's dinner - I was convinced to give the porchetta sandwich a go. It was so good we returned.
The food in this restaurant is the main highlight. Amazing coming through the courses. Olive spread, aubergine fleur, beetroot and chocolate ball. Some lovely dishes served, with a great selection of wines. The venue was too clinical/modern for our liking but that's the only negative. Worth visiting the rooftop bar after the meal, lovely and good views of the city
We just came back from our 7 days trip to Rome. I was so so happy with my choice of hotel. Nice lobby, gorgeous views, cozy rooms.
This hotel is....breathtaking.
Breakfast buffet was outstanding.
I will write in every portal or page only best things about them.
Well done staff, my daughter and son were very happy.
"True luxury in an exclusive boutique hotel (<20 rooms) tucked away in Rome's historic centre"

My wife and I usually stay at hotels one price class below Vilon, but after 3 months in Covid lock-down we wanted to splurge on a truly exclusive experience while on a city trip to Rome in June 2020.
We were not disappointed. We spent 3 nights at Vilon and everything was perfect - the interior decoration of the room...
The level of service from the staff at JK place, would put most hotels to shame! Attentive, but not intrusive and nothing was too much trouble.
Our initial room (a JK Deluxe) was very nice, but had internal views and frosted glass windows. As light sleepers we found it a tad noisy during the night and the Hotel gladly moved...
We recently stayed here for my husbands 50th birthday and they could not have made our stay any better. Every single member of staff was fantastic. They were happy knowledgeable and fun! The location is unrivalled. Even the view from our loo was incredible. Highly highly recommend a stay here.
The hotel is benefiting from its private ownership. The staff is very engaged, professional and nice. Rome is bouncing back from COVID 19 and this hotel is well prepared. All hygiene measures that can be thought of are in place. 👊
