The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
This is a humbling and thought-provoking place to visit. It is heartbreaking to read the stories of lives lost and families torn apart by the Berlin Wall and this is a small but incredibly important memorial. A must-visit.

"Most iconic monument of Berlin"

The Brandenburg Gate is one of the most iconic monuments in Berlin. The gate is a symbol for the city and is found at the back of nearly every postcard. It is certainly a must see. It was a central point on the boarder between east and west.
This monument is for free and is placed close to Brandenburger tor. It's a memorial monument after 2nd world war. You can walk between the blocks, that are in different heights, which makes it feel a little bit like a maze.
A little tip! About two blocks from there you can also visit the place where Hitlers bunker (where he...
The market gate from the ancient Greek city of Miletus is nearly 55 feet tall. It, along with the Turkish Pergamon Alter are two of several exhibits that are simply amazing. The impressive reconstructions of these massive archaeological structures and others, like the Ishtar Gate and Processional Way from Babylon and the Mshatta Facade, have made the Pergamon Museum famous...
I was in need of a good breakfast before I began exploring the wonders of Berlin and I visited here as it was very close to U-bahn at Friedrichstrasse. The choice was good, the place was really clean and fresh...and the staff were friendly and helpful (speaking slightly slower for me as my German isn't great). I ended up choosing...

We had a (round) birthday dinner at the Esszimmer. While booking I asked for a table with a view of the Brandenburg Gate and they made this happen, and decorated the table with yellow rose petals. Very nice gesture.
All of the staff was competent and friendly.
The food was to die for. We chose 8 courses out of 10,...

We arrived on a wednesday after a long workshopday to be entretained and beautifully served by a father and a son who run Hackethals together and have been serving their guests for over 18 Years. I ordered a "Schnitzel" and a dark beer brewed by themselves which was amazing. The pork for the Schnitzel had been freshly delivered the same...
Casa Camper is a fantastic design hotel in a great location in central Berlin. Staff super friendly and helpful. Neighborhood is full of cool boutiques and stylish brand names. I loved the lounge on the 7th floor and would definitely stay here again next time i'm in Berlin.
I will always come back here. I got ready for my wedding with my team and every staff was so welcoming and friendly! The place is beyond clean...and interior is wonderful and stylish. We really felt at home. The kitchen has everything needed to enjoy a long or even a short stay.
It was the most perfect appartment with concierge ever !
Well located and so beautiful and romantic for a couple.
If I come back in Berlin, I won't go anywhere else.
The team is really nice and here for you.
"Still a great hotel, but not as good as it used to be"

I've stayed in i31 many times. This was my first time back in a couple of years. The staff at the front-desk were helpful and friendly as always, and the room was comfortable and I slept well thanks to the quiet courtyard view.
A few issues I noticed compared to my previous stays:
- The rooms are beginning to show...
We stayed for three nights and were immediately given a warm welcome by Selina from the reception. We exchanged tips and recommendations (she will go to The Netherlands) and had very nice conversations. The room was big (we were placed in a disabilities room), clean and had everything we needed. The location is very central and close to Checkpoint Charlie,...
