No Berlin neighbourhood is more popular with the young and jet-set crowd than the old worker's district of Neukölln. With so many Turkish settled here, the area became known as “Little Istanbul“. Today the percentage of foreigners is still high and visitors still frequent the Turkish shisha bars. In the daytime, they also visit the designer shops and sit by the canal in one of the street cafés up and down Westerstrasse or at Maybachufer, having a beer and waving to the sightseeing boats as they float by. But at night, Neukölln is dominated by increasingly young, alternative, and international crowds. This is particularly evident in the northern section of the district where there are many bars, funky clubs, galleries and restaurants. There, the night never seems to end.
This park is small and immaculately sculpted with statuary and stone balustrades outlining the perimeter. The trees are big and beautiful and there is a cafe built into one of the side walls. Neukoln has plenty of green space between Tempelhof and some of the surrounding parks, but this one stands out as the most refined.
"Simple but effective memorial to a man who nearly changed history"

Georg Elser was a Communist Party member, who worked painstakingly to make a bomb that could kill Hitler. In the event, Hitler (who was habitually late) arrived early to deliver a speech, so Elser's bomb in the podium from where he spoke, blew up harmlessly about 30 minutes after Hitler had already left. Elser was hunted down and caught by...

"Amazing must-have German dumplings"
reviewed 27 March 2020 by PoonamDeol
This is definitely one of the best places to go if you want authentic German dumplings. It was full of locals and actually quite far from the city centre - but well worth the Uber!
The restaurant is pretty much in the middle of nowhere, and we walked into the wrong restaurant on the corner, but it is just down...

"Excellent fish and music"

Can wholeheartedly recommend this place, the gilthead ("Dorade") was an absolute revelation, really hard to understate how good it was. I tried only a small piece from my girlfriend and then couldn't stop. Funnily, this is not because my meal was small - actually the waitress warned me that the rabbit was more of an entree, but it would have...
Close to the U-Bahn and shops. Friendly and helpful staff with good amenities. Clean and comfortable rooms. Taxis available outside and close to supermarkets and take away shops/restaurants. Close to laundry facilities.
I’ve been in this hotel for CTI conference that is inside the forum of the hotel (don’t need to exit to access). The hotel is very big (hundreds of rooms), rooms are ok and the breakfast is good as well. Recommend.
"Smoky dirty room, manager and staff rude, defensive"

Worst place I have stayed in ten years, which isn't saying much given I am a frequent business traveller (book at least 75+ hotel rooms a year). I was asked at the last minute to replace a colleague at meetings in Berlin, only to find out that everything was booked solid in the Neukolln area. My colleague booked this hotel...
This is a good location with excellent price/value, very clean and quiet room.
The shower and bed is of good quality. Plenty of restaurants around, and a parking next to the hotel for 3 eur per day. It is highly recommended.
Just spent 4 days in Berlin. The hotel was brilliant. Staff were helpful and friendly. Room was clean and tidy and serviced daily to a high standard. Mini bar and tea and coffee available with the kettle. The ensuite was large , clean and tidy and serviced daily as well. Room was large over looked the main road but with the...
