The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
This is a small gallery, just off Shoreditch High Street, which is free to visit. They mainly show the work of artists from under-represented groups, so there's a very good chance you'll be seeing work from artists you've never come across before. This was certainly the case on our recent visit, as we found an exhibition given over to young...
I have been shopping at SH for nearly 30 years at various sites around the area and have always had the best service. The knowledge of staff and non-judgement is a place women can shop, be themselves and get what they need. It is a safe environment
and has helped many woman enjoy themselves for many years. I cannot recommend...
Well worth looking at what they've got on - they are happy for non-buyers to go in and look. They even let us into their current display before it officially opened because we could only go on the day before. Prices don't look extortionate if you do want to buy.
Visited earlier today for a cocktail masterclass, and all left excited about the news skills we had learnt. I think that’s the biggest difference, learning how to balance drinks in general and ways we can take it home rather than one specific cocktail.
Our host was brilliant, he was so passionate and enthusiastic that it was contagious. Cannot recommend this...
So I went to blacklock for the first time last Sunday, the food was amazing great sunday roast (yes just like your mum use to make) it was a girls weekend that ended with a mouth watering roast! Within 48 hours I had an email from the manager asking if I had a nice (we booked online) and if I...
I visited on this week with friends and was thoroughly impressed. We had starters, main, pud and cocktails all of which were delicious. The Mac and cheese bites, pork ribs, fried chicken and salted peppers were so tasty.
The staff were all very friendly and happy to help.
My friend brought me here for a surprise afternoon tea for my birthday 2 years ago, it was simply stunning, the views and the food and hospitality. One of the best tasting afternoon teas we have had as lots of savoury as well as sweet. Would definitely recommend and return!
We always stay here when we come to London because it ticks all of our boxes:
- Good size rooms
- Pool facilities
- Close to tube
- Reasonably priced
- Cool area
Service is fine! We have never had breakfast so not sure what it’s like. But a great all rounder for the price.
Beds are SUPER comfy!
Went to London to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and Hoxton were amazing as always. Rooms and hotel were super clean, covid protocols excellent, amazing staff who were helpful and friendly. We were kindly gifted a free cocktail to celebrate which was very thoughtful. There’s nowhere else we’d stay in London due to its excellent location and fantastic facilities.
The personnel have been extremely helpful during this time of crisis. They've been nothing but service minded and accommodating. Their way of handling themselves speaks volumes about the ethics at Ace Hotel in Shoreditch. I would recommend this hotel to both leisure and business travelers. You simply can’t go wrong here.
Booked this as a birthday treat for my daughter and a friend as a staycation. They loved the hotel, bed was HUGE and comfy and the location was fabulous. Would recommend. Walking distance to lots of attractions, eg Boxpark, Brick Lane, Trumans Brewery etc.
We stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting for my sisters wedding. The room was lovely and the whole hotel smelt amazing. We didn’t try the rooftop pool but it looked nice. The bathroom was great and the steam in the shower was fantastic.
