"Scenic Safari great but dont expect to be spoonfed"
reviewed 4 weeks ago by StanS221
Went on July 2 for Scenic Safari. I was worried because lots of bad reviews. I think these people are lazy or have no attention span. You need to pause and think about where the animals could be... I.e., the hippos won't be right in front of you... they'll be lounging off in the distance under a tree... same for...
Lots of nice trails and places to explore the Rouge River and Little Rouge Creek. We even saw MANY crayfish in the Rouge.
The Cedar trail is nice but the part closer to the Meadowvale trailhead is better because it's more shaded. The half of the trail closer to the Pearse House (where you can park) is mostly in the...
Very pretty views of Lake Ontario. Busy trail with lots of bikes and pedestrians. There are some big rocks that you can sit on for a picnic. We saw lots of Canadian geese.
The waterfront trail goes on for many KMs. Or if you walk north, you can walk on pathways all the way to Colonel Danforth Park.
This place has driving ranges for gold and is nice and clean. There is a spot to purchase drinks and snack. I went for mini golf on a day with great weather and with my wife and kids. They enjoyed themselves and it was quite affordable but I would have rather paid a bit more to get a more unique...
More of an Italian place to me! Delicious pizza, decent price. Just so crazy at the counters for pizza, pasta or breads. The lines almost out the door. Almost impossible to get a seat. It was the weekend and sunny, like everyone came out. Loud and fast moving, you better know what you want. I would like to come in...
This is a neighborhood restaurant for us. Have been there >6 times. The signature item has a choice of maybe seven pastas, 20 sauces and 6 proteins. I've had one sauce that I would call good (Rosee I think), the rest were great. Other people I've dined with had non-pasta choices and enjoyed them. Very relaxed atmosphere, definitely not fancy....
This is local to us. Nice selection of beer and the food is good to very good. We've been a number of times and it is usually busy but has enough staff to keep up. They have (at least when I noticed) Kilkenny Cream Ale. It can get fairly noisy. There is a cosy area near the bar that has...
- steak poutine: lots of meat, gravy; not excessively spicy
- taters with the burgers are incredible
- chicken shawarma poutine
- taste of the burger was very good
- private and accessible washrooms
- nice looking dining facilities
- beef patty for burger could be bigger
