LaLa just opened in October so they still have a few little renovations to take care of. The founder, Claudia LaLa, is from South America so her gallery is focusing on emerging artists from there as well as indigenous artists from North America. Lovely space with some really nice photogravures by Paulo Nazareth, along with some video installations. A welcome...
I wanted to like this gallery because the work was fantastic but I felt a bit like a country bumpkin. The roster of artists they represent is very impressive and the gallery lovely. I am not sure about the hours as they are not listed on the website but Wed-Sat, 12-5, is a pretty sure bet.
I recently visited the exhibition held in Sydney, Australia and was most APPALLED at the fact that I was advised that it was suitable for children! I particularly asked the ticket sellers if it was appropriate for a 9 year old and they assured me that apart from a couple of swear words , it was!!!! This in my opinion...
I am so fortunate to be even within walking distance of this superb museum in Toronto. With lots to do for children as well, this is a great museum with lots to learn from including a multicultural view of particularly ceramic arts in Canada.
Fun ambience with very efficient service. Tasty salads that were stomach filling coupled with great breads and whipped butter. We finished with a top notch coffee. Long lineups for take out is always a good sign.
My tourist friend and I went there for lunch on Aug 31, 2019. The clams, tripe stew and grilled sea bass were very fresh and delicious. Their special sauce which is a little spicy, is unique and a super condiment. Very good food at a reasonable price. The waiter was friendly, attentive and helpful.
My son kept bugging me for a Beef Wellington dinner and this was the only place I could find in Toronto. I was hesitant at first because this looked like a pub/bar, more of a drinking place. Boy was I wrong, the beef was excellent, our party also had the pork and a burger and they were great too. Only...
I like this small restaurant. Their broth is so hot that I rarely found in other restaurant. The temperature was kept and very tasty. I would highly recommend if you like a hot soup in the cold winter.
