The starters were to die for ,melted in your mouth . But the main course for my friend which was the duck , was drier than a country facing drought .No flavour whatsoever even with the sauces we had . It was chewy and dry .I was spoiling my friend for her birthday and the food

Whilst we are disappointed with only a 3 star rating we are happy that you enjoyed the starters, describing them as being too "die for", for which we think you. Also thank you for your positive comments regarding the service as well as for saying in in a private message to Fusionista that you loved the prawns. We regret that the duck was not to your friend’s satisfaction. We are surprised by this since duck is one of our specialities and customer favourites, with many of our customers coming to us only for our various duck dishes. We buy fresh duck of the highest quality every week. We have been attempting to ascertain, without success, which duck dish your friend had, noting that your visit was in December when there were no complaints about duck and no duck dishes were sent back or returned substantially uneaten. We can only surmise that your friend had the crispy duck which does tend to be a bit dry, which is necessary in order to make it crispy but this dryness is counterbalanced by the delicious sauce served with the crispy duck. Nevertheless we accept your criticism of the duck and we will be doing quality control and tasting sessions to ensure that this does not happen again. We do however bring it to your attention that if you had let us know at the time we would have redone the dish without a problem, or alternatively allowed your friends to choose another dish. Thank you for commenting that the spa was nice. Regarding your comment that you felt rushed the spa manager reports that there were no complaints in December, whether about clients feeling rushed, treatments being cut short or any other complaints for that matter. So we are not sure exactly why you felt rushed. We do note that you posted a photo of our flagship treatment room, the Koi Mist Room. We do know that our customers love the room so much as it is so tranquil and relaxing that they tend to linger there after the treatments, which can be a problem if we have customers waiting to use the room for the next treatments. We therefore suggest that next time you book a 90 minute massage. We are very happy with your comment that you will come again to Fusionista, and on your next visit we sincerely hope that you will be satisfied with all the dishes ordered for your table and that you do not have any issues at the spa
