I actually visit Doran Vinyards once a year, for a week, between Xmas and April. My daughter and grandchildren Iive in Somerset West and we like to visit beautiful places all over the Western Cape. Friends recommended Doran Vinyards, highlighting the 5 star accomodation and their wine. Whilst there on my first visit a couple of years ago, there had just been a lamb born which was struggling a bit, the grandchildren loved feeding him several times a day.. We enjoyed trips around the vinyard and most days around the gorgeous pool and BBQs poolside. The wine is exquisite, there are a few different Whites. Rose and Red. The pinotage my favourite. I always leave with a few cases. Honestly the Accomodation is 5 star, above if I could rate it that way. There are plenty of local attractions, the best for the children Exotic animal World on the R44. Go visit I promise you won't be disappointed.

Set near the beautiful Paarl mountains My family had the most incredible stay. We had a chance to experience life on a farm . We managed to use the base for a day trip to more touristy areas which my partner and I had never been to before. The Doran’s know the best restaurants and supermarkets to visit. We are aching to return. The rooms are huge and each private bathroom beautifully designed. The kitchen is fit for a chef. Doran Vineyards is also within easy reach of some of the most famous vineyards in the world. I have visited South Africa a few times over the last 20 years and can now recommend this area as an a must see. Very special

A beautiful and totally relaxing location. Handy for all the best that the winelands have to offer. The accommodation is first class in every way and the staff were welcoming from first to last. They were knowledgeable and able to recommend all the best that the region has to offer. This was our third visit and we will definitely be back for more! Thank you!

We have visited 4 times and loved each time we stayed at the Dorans!! Your solitude is never disturbed as you are nestled in between the Voor Paardeberg, Paarl and Wellington mountain. Wonderful grounds for walks. Brilliant accommodation. Natalie, our housekeeper is amazing.

An amazing family holiday in South Africa was topped off by a week at this beautiful farm. The accomodation is fantastic with lovely gardens and a pool outside and everyone is so friendly - plus wine on hand! We hired a small plane one day and flew over the farm to see it from the air as well as flying towards Cape Town and overhead Robben Island - also got to see a whale from the air. The farm is a great base from which to explore Cape Town (less than an hour), Stellenbosch (40mins), Franschhoek (45mins) and loads of other beautiful places within easy distance. The kids loved seeing the animals on the farm as well as eating some of the fresh pomegranate also growing on-site. Such a lovely place, we can't wait to return!

We had a wonderful afternoon at the vineyard for a tasting. The team were so helpful in arranging everything and Peter guided us through the different wines and taught us so much. We loved the family feel to the vineyard, everyone was welcoming and we'll be visiting again in the future!
