The Stellenbosch University Botanical Garden, located in the historical center of Stellenbosch, is the oldest university botanical garden in South Africa. This compact Garden houses an enormous diversity of plants, both indigenous to South Africa and exotic. The Garden is open to the public and a R10 admission applies. Although the Garden does not have a visitor parking area, a parking lot is located adjacent to the garden in Van Riebeeck Street.

The Rupert Museum is a riverside facility with paintings, sculptures and tapestries by 20th-century South African artists. The Museum consists of four galleries, a small library, a café, a versatile workshop space, and a lawn and gardens where sculptures can be seen. Entrance to the Museum is complimentary, and free guided tours are offered every Wednesday and Friday from 11:00-12:00 and 13:00-14:00. Walkins are welcome, but you can also book your spot at rupertmuseum.org. Museum Saturdays are hosted every last Saturday of the month, where visitors are invited to join art-inspired workshops, talks, live performances and a pop-up menu at the Café.

Situated on the trail head at Muratie Wine Estate, Dirtopia builds and manage the trail system from the Trail Centre. This shop sells the permits (R60 pppd) for hiking, trail running or mountain biking. Marked singletrack with various options of distance & difficulty. Bike rentals available but limited and must be booked in advance. Dirtopia organises Sunset to Full Moon hikes, monthly trail run events in the Simonsberg area and mountain bike events since the year 2000. Meurant Botha well-known trail designer, also consults on other trail projects.

Gavin Collins Gallery is owned by and solely dedicated to the artworks of South-African artist Gavin Collins. His large artworks are all done in oils on Belgian Linen, with a particular focus on light and movement. There are a variety of genres available, from cityscapes and figuratives to animals and protraits. This is truly home decor taken to another level!
